Parasailing in Waikiki

September 23, 2015~ TRAVEL

We went parasailing in Hawaii and I have to say, it was my favorite activity of the whole trip! Everyone went except for Jay who refused to go since he’s scared of heights. Just like when he wouldn’t go zip lining with me in Alaska, remember that(see the post here)? Haha, but he came on the boat and watched us while his mom watched our boy.

just a tad nervous 😉

this is one of my favorite pictures of my girl!

papa was more scared than Ana. 😉

Parasailing was surprisingly so peaceful and serene, once we went 750 ft. up in the air. I expected strong winds and the parasail swaying a lot by the wind but it felt like we were floating still in the air! There was no wind and it seemed we weren’t moving at all and it was just super quiet and calm. I wanted to go again!!!
For those of you wondering, we chose Paradise Water Sports because they have a perfect safety record and I was getting a little nervous after hearing about some accidents that happen while parasailing. They were so friendly, fun and took pictures for us and even made a video from the go pro they let us use. After parasailing, they gave us the memory card straight from their camera so we’d have photographs immediately! Then just a couple weeks after, they sent us the video. If you want to go parasailing in Hawaii, I highly recommend them!

January 28, 2011~ TRAVEL

i won settlers of catan TWICE in a row BABY, TWICE!!!
and don’t mind dad’s hand and jay’s foot.  they were just jealous. haha
visited our sweet wonderful grandma and hiwa, whom we all adore, especially by adalie
jay’s parents celebrated their 30th anniversary!
had a tyau family christmas party
we biked everyday day and night
adalie boogie boarded and loved it
this time i got buried in the sand
ate dim sum in China town with cousins
went to the night show at the PCC.
if adalie looks sad in the last two pictures. it’s because she was.
the whole time during the show she kept saying to us,
“can i go dance too?”
we told her she could after the show was over
and when it was over and we went down to the stage
she saw everyone was leaving and she got so sad.
i need to enroll her in a dance class where they have
dance recitals asap.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

January 27, 2011~ TRAVEL

i still got lots of pictures i need to post from when we were in hawaii for christmas.
we went to goat island, ana was fearless in the water and would dive into the water constantly
buried jay in the sand, caught a huge crab, saw the cutest & the biggest 1 1/2 yr. old baby
(she’s the same age as ana!), made korean bbq kalbi for jay’s family, went to the swap meet
enjoyed the scenary as we drove(seriously, where else will you see the beach literally right next to the road?) and went to dad’s friends gathering where adalie refused to stand back with everyone else
to take pictures but stood right in the front in the middle.  and i woudn’t expect any less from her.
oh and i was just looking at the pictures as i was posting
and adalie looks so big in the 4th picture.
she had her first primary program last sunday and she did so well,
beaming and smiling and loving the attention of course.
and i couldn’t help but get really proud/sad/happy/bitter/teary-eyed
as i realized she is getting so big.  she is such a beautiful girl inside and out
and i just wish she would stop growing already.
i ask her that almost daily and she says she would so maybe there’s hope?
and the first thing she said to me when she came down was,
“can i do that again right now?”
and if you’re wondering why there’s always mostly pictures of me and the kids
it’s because jay doesn’t like taking pictures.  but then are there any guys that like taking pictures?
