Water table.

July 26, 2012~ Etc.

One of our girls’ favorite activities is to play with the sink.  The kitchen sink, the bathroom sink, they’re not picky as long as there’s running water.  They’ve drenched the carpet/floor/counter tops many many times, so one Saturday Jay built a water table for the girls.
And since then, no more soaked up floors in the house!

How cool is that?! We have a water table from target but I'm constantly having to dump and refill it because the water gets gross. I like your's way better! πŸ™‚

the orange bucket is just for filling it up. they love making "witch potion" with a bucket so we thought why not add a bucket. πŸ™‚

Fantastic idea if you live in the suburbs. We only have city balconies, but this is good for fueling the imagination. So both the rectangle & bucket only hold water, no drain right? You just lift the bucket and dump it out or let it overflow, right? My kids would LOVE this, too. I'm always having to shoo them away from the kitchen sink (and yes, spend 20 minutes cleaning up their mess with a scowl on my face).

Jay poked one little hole on the rectangle sink but none on the bucket. And yes, that was me before the water table!
