VACUVITA GIVEAWAY

February 28, 2018~ GIVEAWAY

While I was not paid for this post, Vacuvita sent me this to test out. I love it so much and knew you would too so I asked them for a giveaway and they said yes!

A short clip I made showing how easy it is to set up Vacuvita

I am so excited for this giveaway! I don’t know about you but I throw away SOOOO much food. It’s so much that I constantly feel guilty! But some foods, especially vegetables go bad SO fast! I feel like I am literally throwing money in the rubbish can, which is technically true because hey! I just paid $6 for that asparagus!

Vacuvita is a vacuum food storage system where it keeps your fruits, vegetables, bread, snacks, meat, etc. fresh 5x longer. We are currently using it for our bread which is so awesome, it keeps our bread super moist and last much longer, but I am excited to use it for vegetables which we will be doing next! Another thing I am super excited o use it for is to use the large container to store my kimchi!

I am Korean and always have kimchi in our fridge which gets fermented fast and it stinks up the fridge so I’d love to emphasize that these containers are perfect for storing kimchi! Makes the kimchi last longer and not get sour as fast, Koreans are super serious about their kimchi and many buy a kimchi refrigerator that’s several thousand dollars(my mom has one that she got for $5000) so this will be a great, much cheaper alternative for storing kimchi! I am so excited to store my kimchi in the container and then vacuum seal it to store in my refrigerator.

The Home Base that I’ll be giving away comes with everything you see below.

Home Base Set contains:

  • 1 Home Base (18.5 x 11.8 x 8.2 inch)
  • 1 Small Container (1 liter)
  • 1 Vacuum Tube for Container
  • 5 Medium Vacuum Bags
  • 5 Large Vacuum Bags
  • 1 Power Adapter
  • 1 Manual

The freezer bags are perfect for marinating meat or storing frozen meat.

Bread storage is genius! But I am very intrigued with the idea of it helping to store fermented or pickled dishes! I am also constantly buying produce that is new to me and that I want to try for specific recipes, but being unfamiliar with its storage properties I tend to end up having to toss it before I can even get to it 🙁 Eager to see how a product like this will help reduce waste.

I would 100% store produce in This! I have the best of intentions when stocking up on the healthy stuff, but it’s often ending with a trashcan full of wilted greens and mushy strawberries 🙁 **that’s SUCH an expensive lesson to re-learn each month!!
