Sunday Best with my Son

It’s no secret I am obsessed with my son. He is just such a good, happy baby(He doesn’t look like a baby anymore but I’m still in denial, mmmkay?) who smiles constantly and his dimples, oh my goodness!!! He is silly and funny like his daddy and he’s such a daddy’s little boy. He wants nothing to do with me when Jay walks in the door but that’s okay, that doesn’t effect my love for him, I don’t care if it’s one-sided!
And this blue suit with a grey shirt from Appaman? I am smitten. I love the skinnier pants, low-rise waist and the slim fit all over the suit. A man in a suit is so attractive, but a little toddler in a suit? I can’t take it! I am not embarrassed to admit I matched him on purpose with this blue/white striped shirt from J.Crew and a blue floral midi skirt. He doesn’t seem to mind it, at least for now but I’ve told him sternly and with all seriousness that he better get used to it because I’m going to match him and HIS SON! 3 generations of matching, here we come. 😉

Sunday Best

I recently read about a mother who posted a picture of her child on Instagram and someone left a comment with a certain hashtag. Curiously, she clicked on the hashtag and she was shocked at what she saw. She saw numerous pictures of young children in an inappropriate manner and they were all pictures that their parents posted on their own social media! Some were innocent nudity(thank goodness I have not posted my kids in any nudity, however innocent it may be), some were fully clothed, but one thing that seemed to be in common was that the pictures appeared to be in high quality(meaning nice lighting and beautifully captured, even IG pictures) and the children were looking into the camera. She said these people like the ones where the children are looking right into the camera with their full face angled straight, so that they could pretend that the children are looking right into their eyes and engaging with them. That made me SICK. I feel like I have been very careful with posting pictures of my kids and mostly post just about me and myself(I feel so narcissistic guys, but it’s better than posting about my kids!), but now that I know better, I will make wiser choices. 
Anyway, oh, was this is supposed to be a fashion post? I forgot. 😉 I am in love with this dress so much! My favorite colors are white/ivory and gold. I am obsessed, quiet honestly. I want to decorate my whole house in white and gold. So I paired this crop top + skirt from H&M with gold heels from BCBG, and a DIY necklace made by me(see the tutorial here). And this is my second Sunday Best post where my photos are taken 10ft. away from my house! But just like the first post, we planned on going to the duck pond after church for the kids and I decided to take my outfit there and have my husband snap some pictures, and not the other way around. Jay will NEVER go to another location besides our home to take my Sunday Best pictures guys, I am just grateful he takes pictures right by our front door after church! 🙂
The adorable embroidered dresses are from Flor De Luz Shop, I’ve had the chance to get to know the owner, Nassari better the past year and she is so sweet and wonderful! Sunday Best surprise

You guys, can you believe it?  My very first Sunday Best post where it’s not within 10 ft. proximity of my house!  Now, don’t give my husband too much credit just yet, there’s no way he would ever agree to go to another location just to take my Sunday Best pictures, after we came home from church, we decided the weather was so nice we should go somewhere like the duck pond!  So I brought my camera and Jay while sighing agreed to take quick pictures for me.  After he snapped some pictures of me in a sidewalk, he said, “Okay, we’re good now right?  Let’s go home.”  And I gently pointed to the benches and said how I wanted to take pictures over there too.  Then he said, “What? We took enough pictures already, why do you need to go somewhere else?  Fine, then hurry up.”  Hahaha, oh men…. or more like oh, my husband.

If I were to have a fashion blog… 

It would be the same outfit 2 days in a row, the same casual jumpsuits that get repeated weekly(I live in them, they’re the most comfortable thing in the world! well, except when you gotta pee), unwashed hair and mirror selfies because there’s nobody to take pics & too lazy/no time to set a timer on a tripod, upload and edit the pics, and no fancy jewelry like layered bracelets because I’m constantly chasing and holding my son, or moving my arms around.  I see these fabulous stay at home mom fashion bloggers and think, “Where are they going with that full on made up face/hair, dressed up outfit every single day?” because most days I stay home and only get out to drop/pick up my kids from school and I ain’t going to dress up and get all made up for that!  So do they sometimes dress up just for the sake of posting it on social media? If so, I applaud them for their dedication!  
So yes, this is me all dressed up in my book, out to lunch to see my girlfriend w/ 2 kids in tow.  I’ve even ditched my flats, ya’ll!
And here’s my daughter’s Sunday best from this past Sunday.  I didn’t take pictures of my outfit because after church I was pooped and we turned on a family movie(the original Parent Trap, love that movie!), and I totally fell asleep.  I remember thinking as I was about to fall asleep, “Oh shoot, I didn’t take a picture of my Sunday best outfit and if I don’t do it now, it’s going to get too dark for pictures… Should I get up?  Should I?  Oh screw it, I’m too lazy to get up so I choose sleep over taking pictures.”  So yes, another reason why I would not make a good fashion blogger! 😉
