inspiration this week was this shirt from Anthropologie.
I bought this shirt from wal-mart for $4 in XXL.
HOWEVER, I thought I would never say this but I think I’m done with ruffles. GASP, I know I know, I’m a ruffle queen and i still love them and will still wear them, but after owning 15+ items with ruffles on it, I think I quenched my thirst for ruffles. for now at least. ๐
so my newest craving? knots and twists.
I seperated the front and back

and twisted it using this how-to video I found. it’ll also show you the pattern.
and the result:
now that i got the twist top done away, the ruffled top does look pretty cute…
maybe i’ll make one later. ^ ^ ah, girls. we can never have enough clothes right?
Your work is amazing. I thought I would tell you just in case you didn't hear it enough ๐
Hey this is Ryan Fisher. I'd have to say that the stuff you do is pretty cool. Keep up the good work!
Your top is super cute! But I couldn't get the link to the video to work ๐
thanks abby and ryan! ๐
and opportunity: it should work now, I just fixed it. sorry about that!
I love that top! Super cute! Fantastic Job!
Spotted your link at All Thingz Related and I love what you've done with a plain old t-shirt! I'll be bookmarking this one to try myself.
You've got vision!! Seriously, amazing work!
We'd love if you came and added this to our new linky party just for fabric projects!!
That is absolutely gorgeous!
The shirt turned out great, but I guess I am a little confused as to how that shirt from Anthropologie was your inspiration when they look nothing alike. Am I missing something?
I would have never been able to figure out how to do that, I envy your creativity! Great work!
This is great! And thanks for the video tute link-up too. You do great work. Thanks for sharing … I've posted a link.
bakesale: I wrote that the anthro shirt was my initial inspiration but since I already have so many ruffle tops, I changed my mind last minute and did the twist knot instead. ๐
This is so cute! I love the twist and have always wondered how its done. Looks great!
Really love it. Maybe I will even give it a try?
This turned out really cute. I love remakes!
Nicely done as usual! Thank you for linking to my party!
I love how this top came out! Would have never guessed it could be this cute from the "before" photo! Parting with you over at Somewhat Simple!
Such a great idea. I will be doing this soon. Thanks for sharing.

Your blog is amazing!!! I love all your creative ideas. I can't wait to try some of your ideas!
I love this idea-I have devoted the last 5 hours to trying to figure it out. I went to the video on how to twist (I watched it 30 times)- she uses paper not fabric..confusing. I didn't know where to secure the seam on the side exactly-to leave the hole for the other side to be pulled thru. And when is the right or wrong sides worked with? My pattern must be all wrong? I see the Fabrianna has asked you if she may make a fabric VIDEO tutorial, crediting you -May she? Or could you make a video? I would love a pattern to use also, I am so lost. I hate to leave this as a failure. Thanks for the listening.
Hey.. I need a little help here.. Am new to stitching and your answer, or any answers, could be of great help.. The pattern that you cut out from the ready top.. According to what measurements is the cutting done? Do we have to leave more margin to accommodate the twists? The cut-out sleeves also have become a part of the twist I guess.. Just please elaborate a bit on it. Thanks already!
