What is that on your face boo boo?

So Adalie loves holding this silver pen so I let her hold it sometimes(I think she just likes starring at herself in the reflection just like her daddy:P ). So today she was playing with it while I was feeding her some peaches, and I always make sure the tip of the pen is closed but I had to write something down so I used the pen and forgot to close it. She reached for it while I wasn’t looking and the next thing I know, I look at her and lo and behold she has a mustache. Man I had no idea kids hit puberty so fast these days!

Okay let’s hope that even when she does hit puberty for real, she won’t grow a mustache, fingers crossed.)

Seriously, how can Jay and I NOT adore, love, and crave this girl. She is sleeping right now and I miss her.

We got Adi this dress in Mexico before she was born. We loved this dress and I couldn’t wait to put her in it and would put the dress by her side only to find it way too big but now, finally alas, it fits. My baby is getting so big. And more darling every minute.

About a month ago adalie started posing for the camera all of a sudden. I never taught her to or even tell her, “Smile Adalie!”, she just does it all on her own! She’ll play with her toys and as soon as the camera light flashes, she looks right at the camera and flashes us her smile. She’ll smile right when it flashes, stop smiling when the picture is taken, and then smile right back again if I try to take pictures over and over again. I think it’s the most beautiful smile in the whole world and it warms my heart everytime I see it.

There is one time and one time only when she doesn’t smile for the camera. And that is when she’s eating!!! She takes food seriously like her mommy. I love my girl!

Adalie and Ellis

A few weeks after I found out I was expecting our second child, my older sister found out she was expecting her second also! With our first, our due date was only 2 weeks apart and I ended up giving birth to Adi only 6 days before my sister had Ellis. I love my sister and look up to her a ton and it’s awesome being a mother together and sharing and swapping parenting tips, concerns, and milestones of our princesses.

I was 7 months pregnant, Pearl 6 1/2 months pregnant. Yes, we’re eating pinkberry, don’t be jealous. (Or “don’t be J” as Jay calls it.)


Adalie and Ellis meeting for the first time! They were a month old. Adalie was so bald haha.

My sister is such a wonderful mother and a wife and I think she is one of the most beautiful woman in the world who is even more beautiful on the inside. I love you Pearl and I miss you and David and Ellis!
