And she crawls!
We got back from California safe and sound! It was a great wedding and so good to see my relatives. I missed Jay like crazy for the 3 days he wasn’t there (It would’ve been 4 days but he missed his flight puhahaha!) and I never want to be away from him EVER AGAIN!
Yesterday Aug. 8th was Auntie Jaymie’s birthday. To celebrate we went to Macaroni Grill and then had cake & ice-cream afterwards. For Auntie’s birthday present, Adalie crawled! She thinks the Hawaiian sweet roll is the ONLY thing worth crawling for for now which is just too adorable (she eats two of those rolls! I was feeding her the rolls and eating mine too the other day and we BOTH ate 2 rolls. And I was full! She can already eat as much as me…that is disturbing…) but nonetheless we’re so proud of our big-appetite Adalie.
Jay is amazing!
Okay I’m in this blogging frenzy right now for some reason but can I just tell you how much I appreciate Jay? He is the most hands on dad I know. For the past month or so I’ve been sleeping alone in the basement while Jay sleeps with Adalie and takes care of her at night. We all sleep better that way because if I’m near her then she just wants to suck for comfort even when she’s not hungry. But like today I woke up at 10 a.m and I saw opened yogurt and fruit in the fridge that Jay fed baby with at 7:30 and he played with her until 9:00 and then fell back asleep together by the time I had woken up. I got almost 10 hours of undisturbed sleep! He is truly the most amazing dad and a husband and Adalie and I am soooooooo lucky to have him as “the man” in our lives. He truly is my only man in my life.
Sabrina’s Wedding
My beloved trainer Sabrina Packard got married last week. She was a few months away from being done with her mission when I was just starting mine. We didn’t really like each other the first day because I was trying to be the “perfect” missionary with quiet dignity that you learn EVERY missionary should have and even if we took one minute longer for our lunch, I would feel all stressed out.
But our relationship soon changed. On the second day together while we were tracting, knocking on houses to share our beliefs of Jesus Christ, I was wearing a trench coat that was down to my knee and I said to Sis. Packard, “You know why I love this coat? It’s because no one can tell if I’m picking my wedgie.” I said this as I was picking my wedgie. She busted out laughing (I said it in all seriousness, it really is why I love long coats!) and she said that was the moment when she fell in love with me. I soon learned NO ONE likes you if you’re self righteous and anal, and I learned you do not need to lose your personality just because you’re a missionary. We saw so many success and cried tears of joy and also sadness together and what more can I say, I just LOVE this girl to death. She was a wonderful trainer and no doubt she’s going to be a wonderful wife and a mother.
Lately…
These are just random pictures of what we’ve been doing lately. We’ll be going to California tomorrow for Jay’s cousin Jasmine’s wedding where I’ll be her maid of honor and Jay will be the MC. Then Jay will come back this Sunday while baby and I will stay until the Wednesday after. I will miss him. 🙁 Please check up on Jay and call him so he won’t get too lonely OR get into trouble. It’s more for the latter hahaha! Nah, he’s been a good boy ever since I’ve been a part of his life. Good thing I keep him grounded. I really do. Okay enough with the self proclaiming…
