one morning

February 11, 2011~ Etc.

one morning one lovely family decided to pay us a visit.
and my girls looked so adorable i had to take some pictures of them.
don’t they look so darn cute when they wake up in the morning?
and i know these pictures are so beautiful but i saved the best for last
my still-yellow braces from curry.  isn’t it breathtaking?
it’s gotten a lot less yellow if you could believe it.
so on that note, have a happy weekend!

My Ohana

May 14, 2010~ Etc.

This is where we had the photoshoot of me and my girlfriends on Mother’s day. It’s the campus of Brigham Young University where Jay and I went to school. My friend quickly snapped the last two shots of my family before resuming our girls’ photoshoot.

And I have to share this video with you guys. Jay showed it to me which he used for his presentation for work the other day. It is my FAVORITE commercial EVER, it’s hilarious!
Have a HAPPY HAPPY WEEKEND!

My Little Ana the Birthday Girl

March 11, 2010~ Etc.

Ariana is one today. I am so sad. My heart wants to hold on to every second of her stage right now because I don’t want her to get older but then doing so doesn’t let me enjoy the present as much(some people have problems living from the past or the future, I guess I’m just the odd duck out).

Ana took like 8 steps on Monday and before I got happy and cheered for her, I got a little sad. Aww my little baby is going to walk all by herself soon.
Ana LOVES to eat. and I really mean she LOVES to eat, there isn’t a font size big enough to show her true love for food! Of any kind. If it’s edible, she will devour it. I think that’s the only reason why she was born on this earth and that’s the only reason why she wakes up ever. Every person that’s fed her food ends up asking me with a concerned frown, “umm…is it okay that she’s eating this much? I’ve been feeding her so much food and she just keeps opening her mouth for more. Is she going to get sick? Should I stop feeding her?” There’s only been two times exactly when she’s refused food and both times Jay and I looked at each other in shock. But one of those times she refused, it was only because she wanted to eat the food we were eating instead. Hahaha, I love my big appetite girl.
She is so sweet and so cuddly. I call her cuddle-bear because she loves to cuddle with everyone. Two weeks ago at church during Sunday School she crawled right up to this guy, stood herself up using his knees, and then laid her head on his lap for about a minute. During Sacrament, she kept going up to the guy sitting in front of me and stretched her arms out to him for him to hold her. Ana, you better stop cuddling with boys, daddy’s gonna get mad, okay?
Ana is so beautiful. And she must know it too because everyone that sees her tells her so and says, “She is going to be so beautiful when she grows up.” But more importantly she is beautiful on the inside. I hope I can raise her so she knows and believes that inner beauty is far more beautiful than the outer beauty.
She is always happy, always smiling, always so sweet. Aww she truly is my sweetheart. I love you sooooooooooo much Ana. If I had 10 lives, I would die for you each time gladly.

Bitter than Sweet

March 3, 2010~ Etc.

Ariana is turning one in less than two weeks. They say it’s bittersweet, but for me, it’s more bitter than sweet. With Adalie, I was transitioning from a “only have to take care of myself” to “this human being depends on me for every single survival mode and I have no time to take care of myself” so it was hectic and so busy all the time. But with Ariana, seeing how fast Adalie is growing up and how fast every stage has gone by, I’m able to embrace and cherish Ariana’s every present moment. Ariana can’t walk by herself yet and I find it so adorable that she loves to crawl up the stairs by herself while I’m in the kitchen and once she’s up, she can’t get down by herself so she cries and whimpers until I bring her back down. It’s going to be so sad when she doesn’t need my help in climbing down the stairs anymore! I like how she depends so much on me. 🙁

Ahh. They’re growing up way too fast. My mother used to tell me, “I wish you would stop growing right now because I think you’re at your cutest stage.” but she told it to me at every stage of my childhood and that is how I feel. Isn’t it beautiful how you can relate to your own mother so much more and you appreciate and love them so much more when you become a mother of your own?
So Ana girl….take as much time as you want crawling. There’s no need to hurry in walking just yet. Mommy loves you just the way you are right now. Yes, even your bald Buddah-head.
