Fruit pizza.

July 11, 2012~ Etc.

One of our friends brought fruit pizza to our house last year and it’s become one of our favorite desserts since then.  And it’s so easy!
Ingredients:
-Pillsbury sugar cookie dough
-Philadelphia ready-to-eat cheesecake filling
-fresh fruit or frozen fruit thawed
Steps:
1. Heat oven to 375°F.  Spray the pizza pan or a cooking pan with cooking spray.
2. Roll cookie dough into a pan and bake for 10-15 minutes or until light golden brown.
3. Wait until the cookie is cooled.  Spread the cheesecake filling onto the cookie.
4. Top the cookie with fruit.
Enjoy!

Cherry picking.

July 10, 2012~ Etc.

Every time we go cherry picking, I have the hardest time controlling myself to stop picking those darn cherries!  Jay has to say to me, “Hun, 20 more minutes of picking, and we gotta go.”, “10 more minutes!”, “5 more minutes!” and then “Okay, we gotta go now, come on!” Then I beg him to let me pick for just 15 more minutes, then 10 more minutes, and then 5 minutes, and it goes on.  He has to come and literally get me off the ladder as I try to grab as much as I can while he’s pulling me away from me and my precious cherries.
But after almost 2 hours of picking and getting 18+ lbs. of cherries, I guess I was satisfied.  For now anyway.  Next, we’re going raspberry and blackberry picking!

New dresses.

July 9, 2012~ Etc.

Adi & Ana’s both from Zara, mine c/o Oasap(buy it here).
The three of us all received our new dresses in the mail the same day, so we tried them on and had a little fashion show.  I couldn’t have asked for cuter models, those two.
I love Zara kids but I refuse to pay over $25(even 25 is stretching it) for my kids’ clothes unless it’s something like a winter coat.  So they were(are) having a sale so I snatched these two dresses for the girls, along with some mint jeans, and this darling dress!  You should check out the sale for you or for your kids, if you haven’t already.
*this is not a sponsored post from Zara, just a mother to a mother tip/update.
$100 Pavelife giveaway winner announced here.

The 4th

July 6, 2012~ Etc.

gold glitter shoes c/o Romwe.
We went over to our friend’s house for some B.B.Q and fireworks, since they live at the most perfect spot to watch the fireworks.  It was Achille’s first time watching the fireworks and at first he was so scared, that poor boy!  As soon as it started, he nudged his head in between Jay and me and was shaking pretty hard.  But after about 5 minutes of getting cuddles, rubs and kisses from all of us, he loosened up and actually enjoyed watching it.
As for me, earlier in the day right before Jay was coming home from work, I tried to clean up the house and fold the laundry, but the girls kept interrupting to ask me to do stuff for them, which made me very annoyed & irritated!  And I got a little scared of myself since that’s what mothers are suppose to do, to do stuff for them 24/7!  Then I thought, duh, it’s because I’ve been running so low on gas that I just need to stop and take a break before I just lose it and become a witch with just one letter off.  So I lied down on the bed and lost care of all my to-do’s of picking up their toys, folding and putting away laundry, making dinner, putting the dishes away, tidying up the whole house, and vacuuming, but instead texted a few of my friends to see if they wanted to go out.  My friend and I set up a time to meet an hour later and you know what?  I instantly felt better and rejuvenated, knowing I was going to get some me-time in a little bit.  So I happily did most of my chores within that hour(except vacuuming and making dinner) and 6 hours later(dinner+chatting nonstop), here I am back home.  And I feel great!  It’s good to be away from my kids once in awhile so I can miss them and want nothing but to go cuddle them and kiss them.  I’m back to myself again, hallelujah, praise the Lord!

I hope this never happens to me.

July 4, 2012~ Etc.

I found this floating around facebook somewhere and it’s hilarious.
Can a kid’s drawing get any better?
Happy Independence Day!  I’m grateful for the courageous people who risked their lives to sign the Declaration of Independence so our country could become independent.
p.s. I’m doing so much better now, thank you everyone for your comments and support!  It means so much to me that you would take some of your busy, precious time to read & write a kind comment for this little ole me.  So thank you.
