Jay told me he was craving dumplings one day, so I made some for dinner. When he came home from work and saw what I was making, he excitedly offered to help me make some.
Can you guess which one he folded? I kept smiling and laughing as I was folding the dumplings, because this is how I feel when he dresses the girls. You can tell by seeing our girls’ outfits who dressed the girls that day. If I dressed them, it’s usually in a dress or a skirt, girly and fashionable(and cuter in my opinion ;), and when Jay dressed them, it’s always in everything cotton, basketball shorts, or an Adidas t-shirt, very plain and comfortable.
In the beginning I used to make fun of it or make a comment about how their outfits weren’t very cute, or when he would go to a store during his lunch break to buy some clothes for them, I would tell him how I didn’t like the clothes he bought for them, but then I realized, why am I even complaining? I should feel very lucky and grateful that he willingly dresses the girls so many times without me asking, or buys their clothes because he wants to be that involved in their lives! So now, when I see the girls walk out of their rooms in their Adidas t-shirt and basketball shorts, I find it absolutely adorable, and heart-melting.

haha! My husband and I are the same way. I always dress our boys in more "fashionable" clothes (at least I think so) and Josh mismatches their outfits. But I agree…It's so cute and I do feel so blessed that he does willingly dress them (or help with the dishes/laundry) without me even mentioning it. Your Jay sounds like a good man!

haha! i love this. when i was little i absolutely hated folding dumplings. in fact, mine were just folded in half, with no pretty edges. just a plain straight edge haha. not going to lie though, yours look perfect!

Good for you!! While our men don't usually do things like we would. It's important for us to learn and remember that their different technique isn't inferior. Their efforts should be considered as the blessings they truly are.

That's an interesting fold, looks like a fan. My dumplings only have two folds and try as I might to teach my husband, he just is better fit for cleaning the dishes after than helping with the dumplings. Yes, I've learned early on that when I ask my hubs to help dress the kiddo, I have to specifically tell him what to wear or accept what he has chosen (even when the drawer has outfits neatly tucked in or hanging on the racks together). I think I'd feel differently if I had girls. Do you think that's what our husbands feel about us when they tell us to do something manly and we try to sincerely help but suck? haahahaha

Your husband sounds awesome as well! We are both very blessed. π

That's actually what I prefer, over fancy and complicated folds! That's what I was doing, just the fold in half but my husband wanted me to do a design, so I did the most simple design. π
Sarah says
I totally agree. I heard once that whatever presents or good intentions your husband does, you should never complain and thank them. Or else they'll never do it again haha.
Sarah says
Haha, they probably do! Maybe that's why my husband never asks me to do anything manly. Hahaha

Please give us the recipe π

Sorry, but I didn't use a recipe! I mixed ground beef, tofu, glass noodles, green onions, cabbage, 1 uncooked egg, garlic, soy sauce, pepper, salt, paprika. I just mixed ingredients that sounded good haha.
