An amazing photographer Jessica Peterson

May 23, 2010~ Etc.

Okay the only reason why I’m posting these pictures is to show you how talented my friend Jessica is. She took these about 1 1/2 yrs. ago and never have I posted these on my blog! Well, Jay did post a link to her blog here and I was so embarrassed and mad at him for it but then again, I think he’s posted more embarrassing things of me in the past. Body roll? yes that’s the one.

I was 3-4 months pregnant with Ariana and she made me look way better than I really am and that had to have taken a lot of talent!

So I was browsing through my March issue of the Parents magazine yesterday and guess who else I found! I looked at it for a sec. thinking it looked really familiar and then it hit me that it was Jessica Peterson’s photograph! I screamed and excitedly told Jay and my brother and his wife and I got so happy and giddy. It’s featured on a whole page! I called her to tell her the news and I think I was more excited than she was. It’s a wonderful feeling when you see the people you love being successful.

Her work is amazing and words that describes her work is simply put STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. And she will be having a special in-studio photo shoot sessions so stay tuned! To look at more beautiful work of Jessica Peterson’s on her blog, click here.

Anthropologie DIY Minas Tank

April 19, 2010~ SEWING

I bought this blouse dress from Target for $3.49. Right when I saw it I knew I could make it into something much cuter. And a dress for $3? Either way, you can’t lose right?

Then I thought of what I could make it into. So I was browsing through my “Inspiration DIY” file(saved pictures of things I want to make), I came across this Minas Tank from Anthropologie and knew this would be perfect! And this is my outcome!

I cut the sides to make it smaller and cut the sleeves and used the extra fabric from the sides and the sleeves to make the ruffles and the waist-tie.

The only “twist” I added was I used two layers of ruffles instead of just one like in Anthropologie. I think it adds more personality. 😉

I just saved over $85.00!

I was featured on these great blogs for this dress:

Finding Fabulous
Making the World Cuter
Blue Cricket Design
Sew Dang Cute
My Backyard Eden
Hope Studios
Fireflies and Jellybeans
Sugar Bee
Two Peas in a Pod
10 Marifet
