OLDEST AND THE YOUNGEST

February 10, 2016~ Etc.

Jay is the oldest of 4 kids and I am the youngest of 5 kids. I learned in my psychology class in HS(I guess I did pay attention in High School!) that it’s ideal for the youngest to marry the oldest and vice versa while the oldest marrying the oldest and the youngest marrying the youngest isn’t ideal. A middle child could marry any of the birth order I was told. My dad is the youngest and my mom is the oldest. And they compliment each other and get along very well, so that also helped my belief that it all made sense! The personalities in the birth order are many times spot on, and it makes sense why the oldest would clash with the oldest and the youngest with the youngest. It’s like a red personality would butt heads with another red personality. I feel if one is very bossy and authoritative and stubborn, it would be easier to marry someone who is more submissive and easy going than someone just like them.

Our 4th of July Party is going to explode!!!

June 28, 2015~ Etc.

So I was contacted to write about this online fireworks site located in Provo and was to receive part pay and part in products to write this post. Then my husband who is OBSESSED with fireworks told me to ask them if we can receive the ULTIMATE BLOCK PARTY package and no pay in exchange instead and they agreed. I would have went with the original offer of part pay and part products, but man, I am such a good wife. Haha. But seriously, the party package is $1372.50 worth of products!!! Holy cow!!! So Jay and I were contemplating about throwing a 4th of July party but after this, oh, the party is on!!!
And for once in my lifetime, Jay is super happy I blog! Ha! He went on their website  www.provofireworks.com and told me the prices were actually really good. Jay could spend $1000 on fireworks easy, and he loves to buy fireworks every year for the 4th of July and he said he would definitely buy from them next year and from now on. Jay is actually going to buy fireworks from the site for our party this year, because apparently $1370 worth isn’t enough. I freaked out and he assured me he’s only going to buy small ones for the little kids such as sparklers and poppers and such. Whew.
The store is for online only and it’s free to pick up in Provo or it’s $5 delivery if you live in Utah County. It’s free shipping for Utah County for orders over $100. They also have videos of the actual fireworks you are buying so you know exactly what to expect before buying them! They’re able to give very good prices because they’re not paying for the overhead of a tent, staff member, and a parking lot lease. The owner will give you his phone number, his email address, and even his home address because he stands by his products and if something is wrong, you’ll be able to contact him and he’ll refund you or make it right. Isn’t that awesome? That makes me feel so much better about buying from him since if you were to buy from a tent, you’d never see them again.
So I am really excited to find out about this wonderful online store for fireworks, and I’ll be telling my family and friends about it, so I thought you might love to know about it too!

Go on their main page and watch the video to get 10% off any bulk packages.

What are your plans for the 4th of July? B.B.Q? Hosting a party of your own? Any fun family traditions you have? We don’t have any special traditions for this Holiday but I’d love to get some ideas!

Sunday Best

March 6, 2015~ Etc.

I’m so in love with my daughter’s outfit, how about you?  I had to bribe my daughter with an Oreo in order for her to keep her hat on at church.  As for me, these pictures are from when I was featured in the Brahmin Fall 2013 catalogue.  They sent me a few bags for me to style in my own way before sending it back to them which was a fun experience and I got to choose a few bags of my choice to keep in return.  I wore this same exact outfit to church and I even had Jay take pictures but let’s be honest, the pictures sucked.  Not because of Jay but because my poses were just way too cheesy.  Haha!  So I’m posting these pictures instead.

What I’ve been up to lately

February 13, 2015~ Etc.

Random things I’ve been up to the past week:

We recently bought a cow and had some people over for dinner for some t-bone steak!  Jay is super serious about his steak and uses the thermometer every time to get to the perfect medium medium we both like.

Modeled for some Agnes and Dora apparel, I will share the professional images soon!

This is how my girls entertain themselves at church.  Pretty impressive, right? And those plethora of little tiny toys you see in the front are called Shopkins.  They’re these ridiculously over-priced plastic foods with faces on them.  I don’t get it.  I’ve been refusing to buy more for the girls even though they beg me everyday.

Went to a Oakwood Homes blogger event where we got to design our own dream home and talk to the designers about any questions we had about home design and what they thought about certain trends(white kitchen and white walls are in right now but it’s getting replaced with more vintage wood), and then the chefs from Whole Foods came and demonstrated how to make the parmesan cheese bowls and cooked delicious food for us!
I am not a fan of cookie cutter homes these many home building companies make but surprisingly, Oakwood Homes is different and each house is different in design according to your budget and preference.  Like look at this beautiful house above, I would have never guessed it was from a custom manufacture home company.  I would move into that house in a heartbeat!  I liked how they believe in luxurious designs and quality no matter what your budget is and even a home at $250,000 looks luxurious and fancy.  Some day, I will own a brand new house after Jay is done with flipping homes. 😉
And last but not least, I was featured on the front cover of Altered Couture Spring 2015 issue and also a 8-page spread!  I knew two of my DIY projects were going to be featured but like last time, they didn’t tell me my picture would be on the front cover of the magazine also!  It was the best surprise in the mail.
I also had a mommy breakdown the other day, I will post about it soon.  Oh you just can hardly wait, can you? 😉
