One tough mudder!

November 5, 2012~ Etc.

Jay ran the Tough Mudder, an intense 12 mile obstacle course designed by British Special Forces, known as the “toughest course on the planet”.

And this video makes me proud.  He didn’t even need any help getting up the ramp!

There’s two courses that even had electrical wires and the shocks were so strong that when you’re hit(and it’s not a matter of “if”, you couldn’t help but get hit a few times), your body automatically slams to the ground.  Intense, right? He said the hardest part was how freezing it was(his race started at 8 a.m with no sun whatsoever). He said the very first course required you to jump in the ice, and almost every other course was jumping in the ice, so you’re constantly cold.  For me, this would be the farthest thing from fun and I would never voluntarily put myself in these situations, but I gotta say these people are pretty amazing.

Happy Halloween!   I hope everyone will have a safe Halloween, especially the people in the East Coast who are affected by Sandy.  It breaks my heart to read and watch the news about it.  Two of my brothers live in the East Coast, and I’ve been watching/reading, worrying, and praying continuously for everyone there. […]

All ready for Halloween

October 29, 2012~ Etc.

Our girls being part Chinese, we thought we’d embrace the culture and dress up in our heritage this year, which includes Achilles too! I used this pattern, except I didn’t print it, I just roughly traced the pattern with a marker while looking at it on my phone.  And turns out… I did it wrong. […]
