indoor camping.

November 18, 2011~ Etc.

one of our favorite things to do when it’s cold outside
 is to have an indoor camping.
we turn on the fireplace, take out our tent and sleeping bags
and roast marshmallows by the fire.

we roasted the jumbo size marshmallows which is a fun idea
but it just takes too long!  we are not that patient when it comes to
roasting our marshmallows to that perfect, crispy brown. πŸ™‚

    This makes me want a fireplace SOOO bad! What a fun idea! Totally gonna do this someday.
    Haha, every year I make a 3D fireplace out of a huge box with a mantle and glowing fire and all… maybe I can pretend to roast marshmallows on that πŸ™‚

    so fun! this year we're finally living in a home that has a fireplace and we just used it the other night! I'm thinking roasting marshmallows is next on our to-do list too! πŸ™‚

    Looks like loads of fun! I thought you were using a gas fireplace and couldn't figure out how you roasted the marshmallows. Then I realized it was a real fireplace.

    @thea: it is a gas fireplace, is it dangerous to roast marshmallows using a gas fireplace?
    @jodi: you definitely should!
    @emily: you should come over! ;0
