Want some rice crackers, Adalie?

May 21, 2008~ Etc.

Our friends Jimmy, Granny & Jared threw a B.B.Q last weekend. Amanda was feeding Malakai some chinese rice crackers and she offered Adi some.

This is before she tasted the rice crackers. Smiling and being happy as she always is.She opened her mouth wide open like she always does when we put anything in front of her. Little did she know what she was getting herself into. Her thinking, “YUCK, this is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever tasted! What is this!?”I think she liked it a lot, don’t you?She can still taste the after-taste. My poor angel. ^ ^

I thought it was so funny that I wanted to feed it to her again so I can take more adorable pictures of her. So I broke off a piece and gave it to my friend A-Young to put it in her mouth while I was getting camera-ready. A-Young said to me, “Sarah, she won’t take it.” but I said to her as I looked to make sure Jay wasn’t looking, “JUST SHOVE IT IN!!! And don’t let Jay see it!” But Adi was too smart by this time. She absolutely clenched her mouth shut and refused. This is a picture of her rejecting the cracker as soon as it touched her lips. Darn. I’m so gonna be one of those moms that feed their babies sour foods and what not just to get a cute picture out of them. So wait around, there will be more. Haha. Mommy loves you Adi.

I love being a mommy esp. on Mother’s Day!

May 20, 2008~ Etc.

Hello I’m back!!! I know you missed me. We finally got our comcast and internet last Friday so you should be seeing me more often from now on. πŸ™‚ oh the wonderful technology world.

I woke up to a wonderful aroma of my favorite pancakes and Portuguese sausage on Mother’s Day. Then Jay had me do a scavenger hunt which made me run around the house from the basement to the 2nd floor to outside and then inside over and over. It was a great workout.
What impressed me the most however wasn’t the wonderful presents that I’ve wanted so badly, but the drawings that my baby did all by herself. I was so proud of my baby that day. Oh they weren’t Adi’s drawings? It sure looked like it. Hey hey, no offense Adi. πŸ˜‰

Can you guess what they were? Here are some of the drawings.

Here is my favorite: Jay looking at his gigantic mirror flexing his muscles. He does this every morning and night.Hmm I can’t recall what this was…
And this one either…
Oh this one was his best one, a giraffe.Hmm….

Jay had to follow me around to tell me what each drawings were. Besides the mirror and the giraffe, I didn’t know what the rest were. And the sad thing is, I’m not lying when I say I can’t recall what those others were. That’s how horrible I mean amazing his artistic abilities were. The scavenger hunt took longer than expected due to my confusion of the drawings that we had to attend the Asian ward’s sacrament after our two hours of Sunday school and Priesthood/RS.

I told Jay that I couldn’t wait until Adi gets old enough to make me a homemade Mother’s Day card and that I couldn’t think of a better gift. So Adi indeed participated in making one! And he got me a massage chair I’ve been wanting and a gift certificate to the mall whoop whoop. πŸ˜€

I love my massage chair. I use it everyday!
Jay and I grilling some food on our new grill. Okay it was only Jay, I was just posing for the picture.

Then he BBQ’d the most wonderful dinner for me and my GF’s. Grilled mushrooms & green peppers, bunless hamburger(that was my favorite) & steak and my favorite food in the world, corn on the cob. It was indeed a wonderful day. Thanks Jay, you are the best!!!

Daddy’s girl…

May 13, 2008~ Etc.

I can’t believe that my daughter is 6 months old already. Time literally FLIES and day by day as she grows up in front of my loving eyes, I can’t help but become more and more protective of her. Adi’s “regressed” in some ways in regards to her sleeping as she used to sleep in her own room, in her own crib, but has, since the move, slept in our bed, inbetween us, hands sprawled out wide (I will post these pics of our little bed hog soon hopefully). Its hilarious because she cries if she doesn’t have a pillow and always wants to be a big girl. While I on the other hand am just too weak sauce to let her cry it out in her crib (Come on, look at this pic and tell me that you would let her cry!) And if she’s not sleeping in the middle of us, she’s sleeping on my chest…which I personally think is her favorite sleeping spot (which I don’t get how that would be comfortable, it’d be like laying on a concrete wall!) Adi woke us up this morning and Sarah and I had the best time just playing and interacting with her. Some may call her spoiled, I just call her “Daddy’s Girl!”

Even though she’s not even CLOSE to dating, I’m actually kinda scared to see how I’ll handle her going out with a guy. She already has so much “boyfriends: Paka, Malakai, Kaden to name a few” and people keep saying she’s goina “break a lot of hearts” (kinda like her mom πŸ˜› ) and after I think about it, I kinda wish she would never grow up. Sarah thinks I’m joking when I tell her we’re goina dress up in disguise and follow Adi on all of her dates, but what could be more fun on a Friday night then making some teenage or twenty something year old kid scared for his life and then dressing up really fast and following them on their date until 10:01 p.m.? All I know is I’m goina do it bad boy style and greet the kid trying to date my daughter just like this: .

**viewer discretion is advised: I edited this clip but still know I’ll get scolded for putting this up…but I just had to anyways because this clip is HILARIOUS! So if you watch it, it was by your own free will and choice.**

So good luck to all the guys that wanna date my daughter…I apologize in advance for any outright sarcastic remarks that I make and hope that you come prepared to possibly be picked on and harassed visit upon visit, it’s nothing personal, it’s just my way of showing you affection. I hope that you are in good physical shape and don’t think it’s weird if a 40 something year old gets physically competitive with you. I hope that you don’t “take it easy on me” because I’m older than you, because I won’t take it “easy on you” and definitely won’t feel bad when your getting dominated. You better hope that my wife is literally RIGHT by my side every time you come over to keep me in check and restrain me! Other than that though, have a great night and a great time!

“Whatchu lookin at??? It better not be a boy!”

“I wish she’d stay this small forever!!!”

Appliances mean I’m an Adult, IProvo means IDiot

May 7, 2008~ Etc.

Alright, the lack of blogging is due to the lack of Internet service at our house. I called IProvo today to hook up Internet and Cable and here is our phone convo after I have told him exactly what services I want:
a
Me asking politely: “Yeah, so if I sign up for cable and Internet, when is the earliest that you guys can come and do the installation?”
a
IProvo: “Um, let me check for you sir, it looks like…um…lets see-July 10th. That’s the earliest available date that we can send one of our technicians out for installation.”
a
Me utter dismay: “July 10th? …you know that this is May right? July 10th is over 2 months away!”
a
IProvo: “Sorry sir, that’s the earliest available time that we have for installation, did you want me to go ahead and process this request?”
a
Me turning up the sarcasm: “If IProvo only services Provo, why do I have to wait 2 months for you to come connect a couple of wires? There is only about 100,000 people in Provo and 29,000 actual housing units in Provo and even if you only had one tech, if he did 4 installs a day, that’s still over 160 installs in 2 months and there is no way that you have just one tech and that much work. So basically you’re telling me that you guys are SOOOO busy that you don’t have an install date like oh…maybe this week or next week at the very latest?”
a
IProvo: “Sir, I apologize, that’s the absolute earliest date that we have. July 10th. Do you want me to go ahead and process this request sir?”
a
Me hoping she realizes how dumb she sounds: “Nobody in the right state of mind is going to call you up to request your services and wait 2 months for you to hook this stuff up! Comcast installs in 3-5 days max. Have you personally EVER had someone call in and tell you that they want IProvo and then tell you that they will wait 2 months for you to hook it up?”
a
IProvo: “Um, no sir…the wait usually is only about a month or so”
a
Me putting in my 2sense: “A month??? Wow…No! I do not want you to process my request. Please, whoever your manager is, tell them the reason that IProvo is going out of business and losing millions of dollars is because NOBODY is going to wait 2 months, not even 1 month for you to come out and hook up service. You have my information, so if they want to hire me as a consultant to find out why they continue to not sign up new customers and lose money, then I am sure that I can help them see the light! Thanks for help though…cheers!”
a
So I called Comcast shortly after and even though they can’t install until May 16th, even though that is 7 business days away, that is a whole 8 weeks before IProvo could! So basically my loving wife is going CRAZY not being able to blog and not being able to browse facebook! But she’s a trooper and she’ll be alright-so I hope she knows that I tried. hehehe a

So we did officially move into our new home. We LOVE it thus far and its still kinda surreal. It’s weird to go home to “OUR” home. There is so much I wanna do but Sarah keeps me grounded and helps me to prioritize myself and not go full speed in a hundred directions and never finish anything! Adi has had a VERY VERY VERY hard time adjusting to her new environment. She still is such a good baby and so when she really does cry, we know its for a reason. As cute as it may be, we can’t leave her site, we can’t leave her side and if she wakes up and the first thing she doesn’t see is our face, she freaks out and has a cry that breaks my masculine heart (don’t listen to Sarah if she says I’m soft…she BAWLED in the LDS movie Charly!)
aA huge shout out to Jordan who helped us with the loan, Spencer who is my real estate agent zero, my dad and mom who helped us so much with the house and the trailer (yeah we own a trailer whoop whoop!) To Josh, Jaymie, Kat, and Matt for the many hours of help (Matt not so much, but he had class hahaha) To Granny, my expert mover who’s helped my move 3x now he pointed out, Jared for taking a day off to help me move, to B for flexing some muscles, to Matt and Alfreda for bringing over the biggest truck that I’ve ever seen in my life over to help us have a very smooth move.
a
Unpacking is a very S L O W and tedious ordeal. We’re getting there, but with the renovations we want to do, we’re just not sure how much we should unpack or where to put everything. We did go buy our new kitchen appliances and let me tell you-when you get excited to buy kitchen appliances, you KNOW that your a full-fledged adult. We fell in LOVE with the Samsung fridge and I am very brand loyal and therefore bought the Samsung Microwave (We also bought Samsung because it is a Korean brand and Sarah’s Korean puhahaha). The cherry on the top is the modern fluorescent blue matching display lights on the fridge and the microwave that Sarah and I will probably sit around and stare at all night long until we get our Internet and cable hooked up. The stove is a whirlpool but that matches our washer and dryer, so I can’t complain. I never thought that I would EVER get this excited over new appliances…especially in our nice ugly green kitchen, but here I am, anticipating the arrival of my appliances like a child waiting for Christmas morning-how sad~

Little Buddah?

April 25, 2008~ Etc.

We went to Gossip and Jay and I absolutely LOOOOVE their pho’ and boba!!! I can drink boba everyday. We went with our friends OJ & Alvina and their family and friends and were sad that Brennen, Amy and ‘Paka couldn’t make it because B was sick. πŸ™ But when we got there, we were pleasantly surprised to run into my beloved friends Janie, A-Young, and Jang. We had a blast and I love the last picture of Adi, the little buddah! Except she’s WAAAY prettier and less chubby. πŸ˜‰
