Hellos and goodbyes

November 14, 2008~ Etc.

17 weeks/3 1/2 months

21 weeks/4 1/2 months

24 weeks/5 months 1 week

I LOVE being pregnant for almost a year especially 7 months after I had my first one. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m just thankful I no longer feel morning sickness. I seem to be bigger with my second one than with Adalie. With this one I somehow skipped the awkward stage of, “Is she fat or is she pregnant…” and woke up one morning with a noticeable prego belly.

So this means…

Goodbye my old jeans or pants
Goodbye sleeping in any position I’d like
Goodbye my waist line and a flat stomach ๐Ÿ™
Goodbye roller-coasters, snowboarding, cliff jumping, hiking to the stairway to heaven, horse back riding, and scuba diving(I wanted to do the last four in HI this Christmas).

Hello leggings and stretchy pants. yay-yeah!
Hello puffy face, ankles, fingers and feet.
Hello Charley’s horse and heartburn
Hello love handles, back fat and a belly
Hello baggy shapeless flowy tops
Hello to peeing every 20 mins. during the day and waking up every hr. at night to go pee
Hello to feeling fatigued and tired every moment and bagged, puffy eyes
Hello wobbling like a penguin due to a BIG HUGE BELLY and having Jay laugh silently behind me!

Is it worth all of this you ask? Oh pregnancy is the easiest part, just wait ’till they come out. But I’ll have to say it’s a definite YES. And SOOOOOOO much more. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go pee.

Yummy yummy chicken puffs recipe

November 13, 2008~ Etc.

Chicken Puffs

Ingredients:
1 pkg. cream cheese
about 2 servings of mashed potato flakes
1 T. butter
6 T. milk
10-12T. water
dash of salt
enough chopped onions to your own liking
cubed cooked chicken cooked with a little bit of butter, oil, salt and pepper.
1 pk. of ranch dressing powder mix

2 cans of croissant dough
1 egg

Heat oven to 365. (one recipe asked for 350 and the other 375 so I opted for middle haha I’m a nerd) Mix all the ingredients together. Lay out the dough and flatten into a square and put a big spoonful of the mixture in the middle and fold it. You’re suppose to fold it over completely so it looks like a pillow but I thought showing a little bit of “skin” was prettier looking. Brush over the top with the egg mixture.

Bon Appetit!

I heart Sunflower Farmers Market

November 11, 2008~ Etc.

Jay tells me this is a stupid thing to blog about but I don’t care what he says and I do what I want. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Can I just tell you how much I love this market? The store is located on 1375 S. State St. Orem which opened up not too long ago and I make sure I come here weekly when I do my grocery shopping. They buy fresh fruits and vegetables locally and in a large quantity so the prices are A LOT cheaper. Today I went and bought grapefruits at 8 for $1 and avocados at 2 for $1. How cool is that? I make sure to only buy vegetables and fruit however because the other stuff are more on the upscale price. But they’ve got everything a grocery store offers, they even sell fresh sushi(which was delicious) and honey you can fill up yourself in those cute teddy bear containers. This store makes me so happy, I always walk out a happy woman with a big grin on my face. Yes I’m a dork, so what? ๐Ÿ˜€ If you want to check out their weekly ads, you can click here. If I was a mother, I would want to know about a cheap grocery store like this, aren’t you so happy I did? Yeah eat that Jay!

Guilty Pleasures of being FOB

November 7, 2008~ Etc.

What are you? Where are you from? Have you been in the states long? Where’s your accent from?

Why did the nurse look at me and Sarah and then ask if we’re from Japan and how long we’ve been in the states? hmmm I know we look Asian but Japanese? WOW, she had 3 guesses for major Asian ethnicities and 2/3 woulda been right…hahaha ERRRRR u picked wrong, but I nevah tink we wen talk da bad engrish to make em seem like we FOB.

Why did the old white guy in the elevator speak Spanish to me after I spoke English to him first? Just cause im one of the few Asians that can grow some mean scruff and I had a hoodie over my head doesn’t make me yo hablo espanol.

Ah….is okay though. I just got a text that says “Attention all white people must report to the cotton fields at 7am tomorrow sincerely President Obama” Not getting racist, not getting political. Just a funny joke.

Anywho speaking of President Obama…we both have some things in common. True he’s from Hawaii, but he went to Punahou so that doesn’t count, but sad to say, both of our guilty pleasures are fantasy football! You can ask most people that know me (especially my wife and Josh’s wife) that I am DIE HARD fantasy football. I love sports, and the 17 weeks of the NFL season are absolute bliss. Safe to say there is friendly trash talking amongst friends, a bombardment of text messages from my brother and everyone else weekly and intense attention to every single NFL player.

This post has no relevance to anything except to boast and brag that I have the cutest 1 yr old in the WORLD and also to say that I’m in 1st place domination and as I go up and up against my ARCH NEMESIS Mr. Brennen this week…I want to say even though youโ€™re my BFF and I love your team name. YOUR GOIN DOWN, DOWNTOWN TO CHINA TOWN! 8-2 here I come! Boomโ€ฆwhat a great week to be American!

Oh and on a side note, we just bought Adalie a front facing booster seat for her birthday. I’m thinking about getting this for my cute pregnant wifeys birthday since she’s so small…anyone wanna chip in? hehehe I have the cutest pregnant wife EVER!!!

Our precious is a year old!

November 5, 2008~ Etc.

Adalie is one today!!! We had a Hello Kitty birthday party for her last Saturday and it was a huge success. I don’t have time to write more about my little toddler right now but I will later on. I’m too busy playing with her today! ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are just a few of the pictures from the party, and there are more to come!

My first attempt with frosting decorating. It didn’t turn out so bad huh? At first she grabbed all the jelly beans so we had to remove them all.

She loved ALL the attention too. ๐Ÿ™‚

We love you Adalie. So so much.
Yipee I’m one!!!

We thank God you were born on this day Adalie. You make me and Jay so incredibly happy, I can’t imagine the more happiness we get to create together for years to come! We love you dearly, happy happy birthday dear.
