My Little Ana the Birthday Girl

Ariana is one today. I am so sad. My heart wants to hold on to every second of her stage right now because I don’t want her to get older but then doing so doesn’t let me enjoy the present as much(some people have problems living from the past or the future, I guess I’m just the odd duck out).

Ana took like 8 steps on Monday and before I got happy and cheered for her, I got a little sad. Aww my little baby is going to walk all by herself soon.
Ana LOVES to eat. and I really mean she LOVES to eat, there isn’t a font size big enough to show her true love for food! Of any kind. If it’s edible, she will devour it. I think that’s the only reason why she was born on this earth and that’s the only reason why she wakes up ever. Every person that’s fed her food ends up asking me with a concerned frown, “umm…is it okay that she’s eating this much? I’ve been feeding her so much food and she just keeps opening her mouth for more. Is she going to get sick? Should I stop feeding her?” There’s only been two times exactly when she’s refused food and both times Jay and I looked at each other in shock. But one of those times she refused, it was only because she wanted to eat the food we were eating instead. Hahaha, I love my big appetite girl.
She is so sweet and so cuddly. I call her cuddle-bear because she loves to cuddle with everyone. Two weeks ago at church during Sunday School she crawled right up to this guy, stood herself up using his knees, and then laid her head on his lap for about a minute. During Sacrament, she kept going up to the guy sitting in front of me and stretched her arms out to him for him to hold her. Ana, you better stop cuddling with boys, daddy’s gonna get mad, okay?
Ana is so beautiful. And she must know it too because everyone that sees her tells her so and says, “She is going to be so beautiful when she grows up.” But more importantly she is beautiful on the inside. I hope I can raise her so she knows and believes that inner beauty is far more beautiful than the outer beauty.
She is always happy, always smiling, always so sweet. Aww she truly is my sweetheart. I love you sooooooooooo much Ana. If I had 10 lives, I would die for you each time gladly.

A couple Saturdays ago we were just hanging out and “bunny hopping” after we woke up in the morning.(we pretend like we’re bunnies with our hands cupped above our heads and hop around. Yes, we’re that cool. and we look even cooler hopping around.) Then Jay went downstairs and we didn’t hear him for about 20 mins. I asked him what he was doing and he told me it was a secret, and when he came upstairs he was holding 4 bunny ears he had just made. He cut the ears himself and taped it onto the headbands.




And yes this is what we all look like right when we wake up in the morning. I decided I’m sick of only posting pics of me that’s flattering. So from now on, what you see is what you get. ^ ^
And I don’t know whether he made the bunny ears for himself or for us, because even after we all took ours off, Jay kept his on for about 2 more hours. Hmmm…. Jay?

the weekend

this past weekend: Jay made us yummy breakfast. The night before we were watching “The best thing I ever ate” on Food Network(I love that channel) and it was on breakfast foods. And I exclaimed, “Dude! I want some bacon and eggs, that looks so good!” and the next morning I woke up to a car engine starting so I went to the window and saw Jay and Adalie getting in the car so I knocked on the window and Jay looked at me, then jumped in the car and drove off. And he came home with groceries to make this scrumptous meal.

went to McD’s…twice. What can I say? They have an awesome playgound! And awesome ice cream cones. But that’s not why I go there like 3 times a week, I promise. ;)We also went and ate pho’ and shopped for Ana’s b-day outfit.

went to church.

ate a gourmet dinner with steak, asparagus, and garlic bread and had some girl time doing face masks! I think this is the first time doing face masks since I’ve had kids. Wow.

As my two girls and I were driving back home from a puppet show this morning, Adalie said to me, “Mommy, you’re a sweetheart. And you’re my friend. I love you.” Oh how I love being a mother! I gotta say I teared up a little bit and told her she was also a sweetheart and my best friend and that I loved her. And I thought about my life and how happy and blessed I am. Being a mother was something I’ve always wanted to be and have dreamt about since I was a little girl and I’m living it right this moment! I’m living my biggest dream!

And I have everything I want, a wonderful, amazing, sweet, funny husband(my stomach still hurts from laughing so hard from hanging out with him last night), two beautiful, healthy, sweet, smart girls, wonderful family from both sides of the family, and what more could you ask for? Families are the most wonderful, beautiful thing on this earth.
