November 4, 2010~ Etc.

here are random pictures of what we’ve been up to

ariana helping daddy mow the lawn
ringling brothers circus.
i did not want to go because i read somewhere
that they abuse the elephants
(which means they abuse theother animals as well i’m sure)
but jay really wanted to take the kids since we’ve gone the past two years.
sigh.

but they loved it.

so i couldn’t help it but to have fun too.

i won this necklace from a giveaway at flamingo toes!
when i saw the giveaway, i literally gasped for air because it
was stunning and the best anthropologie DIY i’ve seen.
so i was beyond stoked when i won it! thank you!

going on walks

daddy got mommy pretty roses

oh my! did my daughter really smile for real instead of the teeth gritting,
nose scrunching angry smile? πŸ˜‰
and look at how happy adalie is at finding some hidden candy.
ah back to her signature angry smile.

my brother came to visit for just a short weekend.
he is amazing and i love him.
i’m so sad autumn is over!
i had so many autumn outfits i wanted to wear! boo.

visiting our friend who recently had a sweet baby girl.

adi loved holding the baby.

“you are not allowed to wear those pants!”

November 3, 2010~ Etc.

for one of jay’s b-day presents i got bangs because
ever since i got full bangs like 4 yrs. ago, he’s been asking me
to get bangs again. i cut it myself and i was initially
going for the side swept bangs but it wasn’t working
so i kept cutting it and then it turned into a full on bangs.
oh well. it was the bangs jay wanted me to get anyway.
so i went to wal mart with my new bangs at 2 a.m on friday night. as i was about to walk in the store, these 4 boys who looked between the ages 16-18 were walking out. shortly after they passed by me, i hear bunch of yelling. “you are allowed to wear those pants!””Hey! you are allowed to wear those pants!!!” “hey! we’re talking to YOU!” so i turn around and they’re waving at me.
then one of the boys says to the other boys, “oh, maybe she doesn’t speak english…”

hahahaha. if you must know the end of the story, i said back to them, “………what? i’m not allowed to wear these pants?” and the boys yelled out, “NO! YOU ARE!!! cuz you can pull it off!” I thought to myself, ‘okay…these are just black leggings…nothing special…” but i said, “oh!? well, thank you!” then one of the boys said, “we are basically wondering if we could get your number!”

so i just looked at them and shook my head as i said, “no, no…no.” and walked into the store. no explanation that i was married, probably a decade older than them, had two kids, nothing. not at all awkward.
but the point of the story is when one of the boys said, “oh, maybe she doesn’t speak english….”
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA it must be my fobby bangs.
speaking of fobby moments, i have another fobby moment that happened last night.
i was cleaning through all my clothes
when i found this top. do you see anything wrong with it?
yeah…. it says sixty 9, sixty nine, 69.

my friend once told me a few years back how right when him
and his friends saw me they thought i was a fob(fresh off the boat) because
i was wearing a shirt that said 69. and they thought no one unless they’re a fob
and doesn’t know english would ever wear such a thing.
i told him no way, i’ve never owned or worn a shirt that said 69,
and he kept persisting i did. i still didn’t believe him.
well, i guess here is proof. and i can’t deny it, dang it!
that was my favorite shirt my freshmen year in college
and i wore it all the time!
another fobby moment was my sophomore year in college
when this boy i knew told me he liked my hat as he read
what it said. but when he read, “monica’s laundro mat. drop your pants here.”
he gasped a little and told me “sarah!!!” like he couldn’t believe i would
wear such a thing. i had no idea why he said it in that disapproving tone,
but a few yrs. later when i found the hat again, i knew.
SIGH. why is it that i never get dirty jokes until it’s too late?
but my question is…
why didn’t any of my friends tell me/stop me?
tsk tsk tsk.
shame is on you, not on me. πŸ˜‰
and this is so random but i thought it was so funny…
one of my friend was tagged in a facebook album titled,
“Relied Society Halloween Party”

NONE of them are wearing costumes, there’s NO
halloween ANYTHING except for that one paper pumpkin
hanging on the ceiling.

it must’ve been some halloween party huh?
hahahahaha oh man i cannot stop laughing.

halloween time

November 1, 2010~ Etc.

my DIY project this week is our family’s halloween costumes!
]it’s become a little tradition in our family for me to make some/part of our costumes.
this year was our 3rd halloween together with the kids.
our 1st halloween

we were a cheerleader, a football and a football player. and i was 5 months pregnant with my second child.

2nd year we were mermaids.

this year we were

hello kitties and the chococat!

for those of you who don’t know who chococat is, he’s hello kitty’s friend
from the sanrio family.
i just couldn’t be too cruel and make my husband be a
hello kitty too you know? i mean what wife would make their
husbands wear her tights? πŸ˜‰
and while adalie had many poses for the camera

ana only wanted one.

above

it started pouring rain right when we were about to go outside
to go trick or treating so we went to the mall.
it was packed, only about 1/20 stores were giving out candies
like a tiny jolly rancher.

so we decided we would rather get soaked and get lots of
candy instead.

and lots of candy we did!

i think it’s safe to say halloween is my girls’ favorite holiday.

my youngest daughter would not let go of her pumpkin basket
the past couple of days and throws the biggest fit like the
world would end in 15 secs. if we try to even touch it.
she even napped with it.
adalie loved being a kitty since she’s been pretending to be one
the past few weeks. she meows, licks milk in a bowl, yes you read it right,
and wants us to pull her around the house on a dog collar

as she crawls everywhere.
she also wants to take the dog collar anytime we go out
along with a hand cuff looking rope with 2 holes in it.
can you imagine how bad that will look if anyone ever saw me
dragging a 2 yr. old in a dog collar and the hand cuffs?
i don’t want to be reported to the social services
so i make her leave it in the car.
she also has been asking us to draw the kitty nose and the whiskers
a few times a day and she checks herself out in the mirror
throughout the day just to make sure she still has the whiskers on.
we love our girls and we love halloween!

work it for the camera!

October 29, 2010~ Etc.

hopefully this will help you to start a great weekend.
my oldest daughter always looks so cute and precious with her little poses,
but my youngest….
you be the guest.

yeah…she hasn’t quiet learned that smiling doesn’t mean you gotta scrunch up your nose and bear as much teeth as you possibly can and that smiling means you actually look happy instead of angry.
but i wouldn’t trade it for anything.
i think it’s absolutely adorable.
and can i just tell you how ecstatic i am for halloween?
mainly because i’m excited to wear our costumes but mostly,
just to see my husband in his. oh man, you’re gonna love it.
and halloween is x1000 times more fun when you have kids!
(mostly because you now have an excuse to go trick or treating and get lots of free candy!
time=free candy on halloween, how much cooler can it get?)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN to you!
