today i’m grateful for

-bubble yum chapstick in watermelon. it smells like watermelon pop rock! i literally grinned so big after smelling it.
-frozen tim tams
-despite their fights every 5 mins., the moments when adalie and ariana watch out for each other and love each other. like during lunch today adalie said to ariana, “ana, make sure to eat your vegetables okay? and your rice too.” and when adalie pretended to be sleeping beauty and lied on the floor, ariana went up to give her a kiss on the lips which “awakened” the princess.
-for jay for always taking out the trash.
-that we have a nice home that can accomodate 6 college boys for a night for the apparent crazy blizzard we had last night.
-the blizzard that never happened.
-despite our differences,the good relationship jay and I have with both sides of our in-laws.
-the chicken kalbi that turned out fabulous for last night’s dinner and the 6 boys and my family who devoured it all.
-that i have no drama in my life right now. knock on wood.
-the neighbor that just dropped off a plateful of white chocolate popcorn. yum!
-for jay’s kalua turkey he’ll be making for thanksgiving.
-i just realized 1/2 of these are of food… hmm.
-how jay and i still flirt like we’re dating.
-for God for being so kind, sweet, and loving towards me. I would be nothing without him.

all because of you wonderful readers/voters and the support,
my dress won the dress design contest.
I think I’m more shocked than anyone else,
since the other 14 dresses were stunning and
the other designers did a truly great job.
I knew they were announcing the winners today
but I was so sure I wasn’t going to win
that I didn’t even bother to check.
Then when I checked my email shortly after 6 pm,
sweet Cami commented on my blog congratulating me
for winning the competition.
And that’s how I found out. Thank you for letting me know Cami!
on a side note: I’m grateful for my husband who watched eclipse with me
tonight who groaned and rolled his eyes everytime there were
cheesy parts(which were not as many as I expected! remember
the last movie, “the best present you could ever give me is just
you breathing?”)
but deep inside, i know he wanted to watch it secretly.
“no need to watch it with your girlfriends, i’ll watch it with you.
no really, i’ll watch it with you.”
uh huh jay, uh huh.

my two silly little girls. i can never get enough of them. k, let me rephrase that, sometimes i want to scream and just be alone for a sec. but most of the time, i can never get enough of them and miss them all the time when they’re not with me.

terrifying 3’s

a few months ago i read an article about the terrifying 3’s. how it’s the terrible 2’s, then the terrifying 3’s, then the frightful 4’s. then i just read on my friend’s blog about 3’s being so hard.
um…..really? my daughter just turned 3 last week, and now i’m all scared and worried!
but then again, she did tell me today, “mom, i hate you.” and i’ve never said those words in front of her ever, i promise! where did she get that? seriously? it can’t be from the t.v shows she watches(einstein and dora), or in the home! and she doesn’t really have friends(sorry, mom’s fault), so it can’t be from that! oh last week she also told me, “you’re a bad mom.” ouch.
she also used to say, “UGH. you’re so frickin’ irritating.” because of me. yes, i’m so ashamed to admit it and it wasn’t directed towards my children but nevertheless she heard me say it. i quickly worked on that and don’t say it anymore, which in turn, adalie no longer says it either.
man, why can’t they only mimic the good stuff that we do?
being a mother reminds me of EVERY.SINGLE.FAULT i have. and i have so so many. sigh.
but at the same time, being a mother motivates me to work on my faults so i’ll raise my children to be good.
oh the life of a mother. it’s so challenging isn’t it?
