how to comment on google reader

February 23, 2012~ Etc.

i don’t know about you but when i read blogs on google reader, i never leave a comment.  even if i want to comment, i don’t want to open up a new page or scroll up after reading the other blogs, so i don’t.  but google reader has a new updated option now where you can leave comments right on google reader, never having to leave the page(it’s new to me at least ;).

if you have google chrome browser, go to super full feeds for google reader and download.

once it’s installed, you refresh your google reader page and select a blog post and you’ll see some new options such as these:

click on the  “link” tab by the red arrow and you’ll see blog posts like this:

you’ll see the whole blog just as if you were on their blog page!  you’ll see the blog header, the side bars, and of course, post a comment.

to neuter or not to neuter, that is the question…

February 21, 2012~ Etc.

$60 romwe giveaway winner announced!

look, doesn’t his eyes look asian when it’s closed?  no wonder he’s my son! ;D
I hope everyone had a wonderful 3-day weekend!  we went to las vegas over the weekend and had such a great time, pictures to come soon.
but guess who didn’t have a great time, achilles. 🙁  he got neutered and stayed at a boarding facility for the three days that we were gone.  are we cruel or what!  i guess they like to keep neutered pets for 24/7 after the surgery to supervise so it’s not like we could’ve took him home right after his surgery anyway… right?  i still feel a little bad we did that to him.  but i feel more bad about neutering him.  i just trusted what our pet trainer and the pediatrician told us about the benefits of neutering and didn’t doubt or question it but when the time actually came, i started having second thoughts but by then it was too late.  was it the right choice?  the best choice for our dog?  he would’ve made some really cute puppies and he would’ve been such a wonderful father i think.  but now he’ll never know what it’s like to be a father, and was that even our choice to make?  and will it interfere with his love life?  did we rob him of his manhood?  oh, i just have so many questions.  i wish i researched more about it, the time came so much faster than i had anticipated and now it’s too late.  i feel like i was a bad mother to him, it was such an important decision and i didn’t even study into it.  argh.
so i wanted to ask you what your thoughts are on neutering/spaying pets.  have you neutered/spayed your pets?  why or why not?  would you if you had pets?

I love you day.

February 17, 2012~ Etc.

(my red pants c/o oasap.  they’re the most flattering pants i’ve ever owned
and i didn’t even try it on before buying it, who would’ve thought?)
1. treats for adi’s class(white chocolate macadamia cookies+hershey kisses+skittles.)
2-3. little gifts for the girls.  aren’t those the cutest erasers you’ve ever seen?
4. made a heart shaped pizza and dipped things in chocolate with my girls.
5-7. went to ikea to get umbrellas the girls have been asking for weeks, and ate dinner there.
8. crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e made by jay.
9. strawberry cake made by me.
10. the competition is ON!
every year i like to think of fun, cheap ideas for our valentine gifts for each other because to me, the  almost-didn’t-cost-anything, handmade presents are the most sweet and meaningful and i prefer those over any expensive things.  so this year we threw down a “iron chef” competition between the two of us on who will make the best dessert.  we decided our two girls will be the judges who gets to decide the winner.  we are both very competitive with each other and like to make bets on everything and anything so the game was on!  i made mine the day before valentine’s day and jay made his at 6 a.m before he went to work.
long story short, guess who won.  oh yeah, baby!
even though the girls weren’t big fans of the crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e, i do have to be honest and say i think his was better than mine.  it was his first time making them and it was the best crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e i’ve ever had.  but that doesn’t matter and what matters is that i won!  whoop whoop!  in yo’ face!  i mean, i love you, hun. 😉
but i really do love you.  a lot, a lot.  thanks for being my valentines.

girls just wanna have fun.

February 16, 2012~ Etc.

i was lucky enough to have a lot of girls’ time these past couple of weeks.  we had a galentine’s party at my friend katie’s house where we had delicious waffles, then we had a church activity where i got to make cute love frames and valentines cards, and last but not least!  a bachelor party!  every monday night, my girlfriends and i get together to watch the bachelor’s at my house and let me tell you, i get so excited for mondays.  watching it with awesome girls and eating lots of sweets, making fun of the show and their cheezy lines, rooting for the same girl(casey b! well, we now think she’s way too good for him) and hating the same girl(courtney! and we think maybe ben and courtney do deserve each other after all), feeling free to make comments throughout the show without our husbands rolling their eyes, yeah, we love it.

so this past monday being the day before valentine’s, we dressed up fancy for our night in.

all these ideas for the poses were mine.  yes, i’ll take all the credit for being the crazy, obsessed bachelor fan. 😉 and now for the best picture of the year.  or the century.  or just maybe the best picture of time since man was created.

i love you because…

February 13, 2012~ Etc.

i made this cute love frame at a church activity and thought it was such a great idea for a valentine’s gift!  you print it out on any printed paper, put it in a frame(the frame pictured is from walmart for $3), and you can write whatever you please with a dry erase marker(i wrote the cheesiest possible line, can you tell?).  i made two of them for both of my girls and plan on writing something on it at least weekly for as long as they live in my house!  now, i need to go make one for my husband too.
i found one, two, three cute free printables if you’d like to make one too just in time for valentine’s day!
