On Sunday.

July 24, 2012~ Etc.

This past Sunday was a busy day for us.  We went to a baby blessing of our friends, then drove to Farmington to see Jay’s cousins(who are also my dear friends whom always tried to play cupid between Jay and I.  It worked out in the end!).  One just had a baby boy, and the other I haven’t seen for a few years so it was so nice catching up.  It’s funny how with good friends, even if I haven’t seen them or talked to them for a long time, as soon I see them it feels as though I just saw them a month ago.

After visiting Jay’s cousins, we drove back just in time for the Bachelorette finale party at my house.  I still cannot believe she picks Jeff! Oh, I mean Jef with just one f, my bad.

Also, all these cute babies are making me really baby hungry. Then I’ll hear stories of their pregnancy, child birth, and the lack of sleep taking care of a newborn, and I remember it all and it quickly goes away.

p.s. while this blog is not a fashion blog, the most frequent question I get is “where did you get that?”, so in order to save time for both parties, I’ve decided to post where I get my stuff from now on.  hope that’s okay? 🙂

Jay’s surprise half birthday party.

July 19, 2012~ Etc.

We didn’t celebrate Jay’s 30th birthday last year, oh maybe because we were in a fight and we didn’t make-up until the next day, so I’ve been feeling really, really bad ever since.  I mean, it was his 30th birthday, for goodness sake!  So in my effort to try to make it up a little bit, I threw him a surprise half birthday party where we played dodgeball and ate a lot of food.

After we all played together, we, the girls wanted to watch a game played by the boys only.  And oh boy, was it entertainment!  It was like a battlefield!

Happy 30 1/2 birthday to my incredible husband.  I will never miss another birthday of yours ever again.
p.s. so you didn’t really mean it when you said you weren’t going to celebrate my next birthday, right?
p.p.s. ……..right?

Reasons why I could never be an actress.

July 18, 2012~ Etc.

Jay sent me this picture of him making a creepy, pedophile face, so I tried to send him one too. I bet my face just gave you the chills, right?  I’ll pray that you won’t get any nightmares tonight.
Then we were ninjas for fun one Sunday.  We goofed around the house making ninja noises and ninja moves, and then the girls insisted we wear them to visit some friends, so we did. Then jay insisted we don’t take off our ninja masks while we drive, so we didn’t.  And while I was trying to conceal my face as much as possible with my elbow or duck down when other cars or pedestrians passed by, Jay on the other hand was putting his face right by his side of the window and starring at every single person as intensely as possible and kept starring at them until he no longer could. I was SO embarrassed.
Anyway, right before the picture was being taken, Jay was saying, “give me your best scary-intense face!”  So yeah, yo better hide your kids and hide yo wife because if looks can kill- it’s definitely mine!  What am I even trying to do with my hands?  Don’t even ask.  And the sad thing is, I was trying so hard in both pictures to look pedophile-ish and intense-scary-ish.  Good thing becoming an actress is not in my agenda.

A bonfire.

July 12, 2012~ Etc.

*I was looking through my past archives and found this post that I never published.  Thought it would still make a good post. 🙂

Jay built a fire pit in our back yard one saturday which led to cooking our dinner outside.  We roasted spicy bratwursts and marshmallows.  What can I say, we are avid healthy eaters!

Look how small Achilles was!  Achilles watched us like a hawk in case we dropped some food and the moment a bratwurst(uncooked, too!) dropped from a plate, he grabbed it and sped off even before we had the chance to take it away from him.  Let’s just say I wouldn’t wanna be the one picking up his poop after that.  Nor be around him when he’s dropping some stinky bombs(and a spicy one at that).

Days like these reminds me how wonderful life is, and how life is so beautiful.  I love hanging out with my family(good thing, right?), and I love how it’s always filled with so much laughter, and goofiness.

A home is a heaven on earth.
