If I didn’t know better

October 11, 2012~ Etc.

When I find a song I love, I listen to it over and over and over again, and not get sick of it. I heard this song an hour ago while watching the new show, Nashville, and I can’t stop listening to it back to back, over and over again.  I wish I had her voice!

All you need is a light jacket

October 10, 2012~ Etc.

{beige sweater: c/o sheinside | leggings: h&m | scarf: gifted | boots: ?(old)}
The weather’s been perfect lately, it’s not too cold, it’s not too hot, all you need is a light jacket!(I love that movie).  It’s especially perfect for bike rides, which we’ve been doing plenty of lately.
Now onto the utmost important matter, so you see those two poles in the last picture?  Did I ever tell you how Jay was running with our dog Achilles late one night and he didn’t see the poles so he ran into one of the poles at full speed and shattered his kneecap?  And they were going FAST.  Poor Achilles ran into the other pole too and they both moaned and groaned and while Achilles only had a little mark on his head, Jay had bruises & scratches all over from falling afterwards.  It’s kind of sad, but it’s really funny now.  My only regret is it wasn’t caught on video tape!  Think of how great of a video it would’ve made!  I know what I’m buying Jay for Christmas this year, those helmets with an attached flash light.  Those are so sexy.   And think of how awesome it’d be if every jogger/runner wore those on the streets!

Fall sightseeing

October 8, 2012~ Etc.

{headband: my store(still a few left) | sunglasses: c/o oasap}
{jacket: anthropologie | sweater: american eagle | shirt: sheinside | boots&socks: target}

My brother is in town for a few days and we are so thrilled!  He works for the embassy so he’s always busy and traveling all over, but he called me a week ago to tell me that he’s coming and wanted to keep it a surprise to our parents.  The day came and I secretly picked him up at the airport, and surprised our parents. The look on their faces were classic. It was great.

So we are soaking up all the time we get with him.  My brother is an amazing guy, with the utmost integrity(he’s single, eh hem.  did i mention he’s a genius & graduated from Harvard? eh hem).  And the Fall season is gorgeous here in UT so we went sightseeing up on the mountains.  At one location where we stopped to see the scenery, Achilles kept smelling something 2 feet down from the sidewalk so we looked closely and it was a deer carcass!  It blended so well with the colors of the fall leaves, we didn’t even notice at first.  We quickly started walking away and my 3 year old Ana said to me all sad, “Mommy?  Is that one of Santa’s dead reindeer?”  So I told her yes, with one of Santa’s reindeer being dead, he cannot ride the sleigh anymore so she won’t get any presents this year. Okay, I didn’t say that but I was tempted to.  It’s hard to be a good mom sometimes.

p.s. I’ll be posting my DIY project tomorrow!

Awful Waffle

October 7, 2012~ Etc.

{top: romwe(DIY) | skirt: j.crew | shoes: oasap | bag: brahmin}

Jay and I went out on a date to our friends’ pre-grand opening party at their new located restaurant, The Awful Waffle.  I got the crepe with nutella, strawberries & whip cream, and also their nutella gelato.  Wait, what?  Why would you assume I really like nutella?

The food was good and the place is really cool, I wish we had this hang out place when I went to College!  And Awful Waffle was not awful in the least.  Say that 3 times fast.

iPhone pictures by Adi

October 5, 2012~ Etc.

{lace top: romwe(c/o) | pants: romwe | blue heels: oasap | bracelets: h&m,j.crew}

Cutest things I’ve heard recently:

Ana: “Oh no, mommy! I forgotted my giant gold coin under my pillow!  Can we go get it?”

Dad: “Adi, can I hug you and kiss you as much as I love you?”
Adi: “NOOOOOO!!!
Dad: “Why not?
Adi: ” Because you love me too much so you’ll hug me too tight and kiss me too much, and never stop kissing me!”

Adi: “Mommy, I’m a bratonographer.” (as she’s holding my iPhone)
Mom: “Bratonographer?  You mean a photographer?”
Adi: “Yeah, a photographer.  I’m a proffeshionable photographer so I’ll take your pictures for you from now on.  So call me anytime.”

The above pictures she took right after our conversation, and she truly is a proffeshionable bratonographer, don’t you think?
