remember when we went to this b-day party last weekend?
the morning of when we were getting ready to go to the party,
adi insisted she wear a princess dress(tutu) and a crown
so that she could go dance for everybody at the party.
so in her pink princess dress and her princess crown,
we left to go to the party and as we arrived and were parking
adi says to me,
“mommy, is there gonna be a cage where i can dance in?”
“WHAT??? …you mean stage?”
“yeah mommy, stage.”
“WHEW adi, DO NOT get those two words mixed up.”
we made her say the word “stage” many times,
before we went inside.
once we got to the party, there must’ve been at least 100-150
people there. and instead of getting shy or scared, she said,
“look mommy! there’s the stage!!!”
and wanted to get on the stage right then to dance.
we told her to wait until we got some food and she waited patiently
and as soon as we got food and sat down, up she went to the stage.
i wish i had recorded the very beginning of it.
she walked up the stairs to the stage and was standing
behind the curtains and poked her head out first while smiling,
then she slowly walked sideways in a straight line
with one foot touching the other foot every step of the way,
with her fingers stretched out
while her head was resting on her left shoulder and looking
at the audience with a content, confident smile to the middle of the stage.
then she starts dancing.
then the song ends and she walks out of the stage the same way
she came in. then another song starts right after.
(FYI: this video is blurry)
and the other day she was watching disney and selena gomez’s
music video came on. after looking at it for awhile adi says,
“mommy, i’m going to be her one day.”
at this rate, i don’t doubt it one bit, honey.
and Happy Easter everyone!
i’ll be attending a graduation, throwing a baby shower,
going to as many easter egg hunts as we can
and prepare/teach a lesson on the atonement.
don’t forget to vote for me everyday!
Oh goodness! Your girls are PRECIOUS! How brave to go on stage and dance like nobody's watching. If only we all could be so brave, huh?
That is just precious! My almost 4 year old is the exact same way! She is beautiful!
She's definitely a born performer!
oh my gosh… this is too cute. and the last post was sooo funny.
yeah adi can't wait to start her dance class this month. 😉
