we went to a waterpark this past weekend. some highlights of the day:
we were walking towards the waterpark when a lady walking behind us yells out, “you have the most beautiful legs!” and jay automatically turns around with a big grin on his face, thinking she was talking to him and about to say thank you but she goes, “no, not you. i was talking to her.” and points to someone else. so jay gets all embarrassed and says, “oh, shoot! i thought you were talking to me!” and he sounded really bummed. (he has heard several times how he has really nice legs so it makes sense though π but honey, i think you have the most beautiful legs, don’t you worry. π
there were these two big slides you can go down if you were 48″ taller or if you sat on someone’s lap. my older one was hesitant but since my lil’ one has no fear and she was all gung-ho about going, sister went along with us up the stairs. once we got up and she saw how high we were, she no longer wanted to go down. i told jay to go down with her anyway(i’m such a good mommy), and so even though she was saying no, no, he went down with her. then you could hear her screaming and crying, and jay screaming along with her(it was a pretty scary slide, i’m not gonna lie!) and i felt so bad for her. lil’ one and i went down and of course she loved it and was laughing the whole time, but i was thinking of my other girl, but when we got out, i saw her smiling and laughing and she said, “mommy, let’s go again!” jay said she was crying at first but then it quickly turned into laughter. so she ended up loving it and we climbed up the stairs holding each daughter in our arms and went down the slides again and again and again, and again. and some more. i think we went down at least 25+ times? both of our legs were sore at the end of the day, but the laughter and the smile on their faces when they came out of the slide was so worth it. it was one of those moments when you feel a complete sense of happiness and contentment and you take a mental picture in your head, wishing it would last a little longer.
and then there was a pioneer thing going on right next to the waterpark so we stopped by after.
i wish they still made cars like these. so classy.
it was a perfect day.

I'm glad you had a good time!
I work in a waterpark doing all the behind-the-scenes work and maintenance, so hearing this (even if it's not the park I work in) means a lot!

Thanks for your comments everyone! @syocom yes there were awesome cars there, I wish we still made cars like them! @Carson yes, I'm sure it's so much work and maintenance but it's so worth it when you think about all the people who enjoy it right? π
