“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

October 2, 2008~ Etc.

The taxi driver asked me as my mom and I sat in the backseat when I was six yrs. old. Most kids would answer, “I want to be a doctor, or a firefighter, or a teacher.” But I simply said, “A mommy.” It made the taxi driver speechless for a while and then he finally said to me,”Oh wow, good for you!” My dream has never changed since then. I had my life planned out when I was a little girl to get married when I was 24 and have all my kids by the time I was 30. Well, it’s been working pretty good so far, I was married at 23 and had Adalie the same year and now I’m expecting a second child again. I calculated and at this rate of having my 1st and 2nd child be only 16 months apart, by the time I barely reach my 30 1/2 birthday, I could be giving birth to my 6th child. But who says we’ll have that many. ^ ^

And this picture is from John and Kate plus 8. Does anybody else watch that show? I love it. When I feel overwhelmed of being a mother and get more overwhelmed thinking about how am I going to handle 2 babies under two such as even going grocery shopping, I watch this show and it always makes me feel better. If she can handle 8 kids, twins and sextuplets, then so can I. And my urge to complain disappears.
