This past weekend…

January 26, 2009~ Etc.

Jay and Adalie went on a daddy-daughter date while mommy went out with her girlfriends. They first stopped at Pet’s Mart, then went to Toys R Us to get a kitty doll for Adalie since she absolutely loves kitties. We have a story book where there is a picture of kittens on one page and she always tries to find that one page and once she does, she points to every single kitten one by one and laughs and smiles at it. The only kitten doll they had was this Siamese cat that moves its legs and feet and squarms and meows ridiculously when the belly is pressed, but since options were limited, that’s the one they brought home. Everytime we say, “Adi, where is the kitty? Bring me the kitty.” She’ll look around for the cat and brings it to us. She’s been into saying “thank you” which she pronounces pretty darn well and she says “thank you” not only when she’s received something but when she’s the one giving also. When we press the kitty’s belly, Adalie starts meowing and saying hi in a very high pitched voice back to the kitty. It is pretty darn cute.

Then they went to their favorite ice cream place (and mine too) Cold Stone to end their date. Jay was kind enough to bring me some home too. Our favorite: cheesecake ice cream with raspberries, strawberries, and graham crackers. Ooh my mouth is salivating!

We went to the mall and stopped at Burgers Supreme and came home to eat our goodies in our fort we made earlier in the day.

Have you had their western bacon cheeseburger? Besides having the bacon obviously, it has onion rings in it. How genius is that?

Adalie helped daddy nail the diaper bag on the side of the dresser. She is so curious and wants to do everything we do and once done, she has the biggest grin on her face that shows how proud she is of herself.

We made homemade cream puffs. Okay Jay did while I was taking a Sunday nap, I just helped fill the cream filling in the very end. Seriously, what husband knows how to make homemade cream puffs? He never ceases to amaze me.

They turned out DELICIOUS.

Then we had Josh and Jaymie over for a Sunday dinner. This is them enjoying their cream puffs right before they both spilt a big dallop of the cream filling, Jaymie on the floor and Josh on his pants.

Hope your weekend was great as well!
