What I wore with Petunia Pickle Bottom giveaway

June 25, 2013~ Etc.

dress: h&m | wedges: target | diaper bag: thanks to petunia pickle bottom
photographs by: Jessica Peterson
We have a giveaway for you this week by Petunia Pickle Bottom where one lucky winner will win a City Carryall diaper bag in any glazed fabric of their choice.  It offers 9 of the beautiful design choices pictured below in the glazed fabrics.  I love the design of the City Carryall because of the size the bag and the length of the shoulder strap.   The bag is big enough to fit everything you need but not so big that it’s overwhelming, and the straps are perfect for carrying around the shoulder when you need a free hand.  The City Carryall in glazed fabric comes with a PPB monogrammed plastic wipes case and a removable long strap for an option of messenger-style carry.  This giveaway is open to U.S residents only.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below this post by July 9th 2013.
For extra entries:

  • Visit PPB and tell me which of the glazed fabric you’d choose if you were the winner!
  • Sign up for PPB’s newsletter(bottom of the site) and leave the email address you used to enter.
  • Like PPB’s Facebook page.
  • Follow PPB on Twitter.

What I wore when I was expecting + a giveaway by Miccimo

    June 19, 2013~ Etc.

For this week’s giveaway, one lucky winner will win a $100 giftcard to Miccimo, a maternity apparel store that sells beautiful and classy apparel for expectant mothers.  I wore this top and a skirt to our 6th Anniversary dinner and felt like such a lady!  My husband is very picky about liking what I actually wear, and doesn’t like a lot of my clothes because he says it’s too grandma(which never stops me from wearing what I like, I dress for myself and no one else! 😉 but he liked this outfit which is always a nice bonus, especially for our Anniversary.  The top and bottom is comfortable and stretchy, and I love how they’re separate pieces so if I don’t want to wear it together as a dress, I can pair it with a different top or a bottom.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below this post by June 25th.  This giveaway is open to everyone.
    For extra entries:
-Visit Miccimo and tell me your favorite item from the store.
    -Like Miccimo on Facebook
    -Follow Miccimo on Twitter
-Follow Life is beautiful via GFC
    Best luck everyone!

What I wore when I was expecting

    May 23, 2013~ Etc.

dress: isabella oliver c/o | heels: oasap
    photographs by Jessica Peterson
With my previous two pregnancies, I owned one maternity item which was a top that I never ended up wearing anyway.  I didn’t want to purchase a maternity item only to wear for a few months, it seemed like a waste of money.  Why buy an item that I only get to wear for a few months when I can buy another item I can wear forever?  So even if it was tight or somewhat uncomfortable, I stuck to my non-maternity clothes that worked with my growing belly.  But now that I own several maternity wear, I totally understand why other mothers buy maternity clothes!  It is so dang comfortable!  And being pregnant is uncomfortable to say the least, so even if you only get to wear it for a short period of time, it is so worth the money!
I love the drape of this dress I’m wearing, I think it is so elegant and beautiful.  I usually try to avoid certain patterns or colors when I’m pregnant because it can make me look a little funny, like if it’s a wide black and white striped pattern, I just look like a zebra, if it’s a yellow maxi dress, I think I look like Big Bird, you get the idea, but with this bright pink/red dress, what’s the worst I can look like?  A giant cherry or a popsicle?  I’ll take it! 😉
What are some of your favorite maternity stores that you shop at?
