sunday: superbowl and what not to eat

February 9, 2011~ Etc.

on saturday night i made curry.  sunday at noon the next day as we got in the car to go to church i pulled down the mirror on the passenger seat to put my make up on.  then i saw my braces.  it was yellow.  i squinted my eyes and thought maybe it was just the lighting but it wasn’t.  i asked jay and he said, “WHOA!” no need to ask further!
can’t tell from far away
and you can’t really tell from these close up pictures since the lighting is really bright
but trust me when i say it was bright yellow.  it couldn’t have been anymore brighter or yellow.
jay told me when we went inside the building, “try to smile? yeah you can’t really tell from this lighting now, so don’t worry.” well, after the church was over, we went to talk to some of our friends and even before i was done walking towards them one said to me, “did you get yellow braces?”  hahaha. then others chimed in, “wow, that is really yellow!” and others wanted to see so i smiled plenty that day.  so if you’re a braceface like me, my advice to you is: DO NOT EAT CURRY!!!  the more funny thing is i haven’t had the chance to go to my ortho to get it replaced since jay’s been so busy with work so i still have my yellow braces on as i write this.  i guess it’s better than if it was brown or poopish green or something like that.
ANYWAY…

GOOOOO GREEN BAY PACKERS!!!

i don’t care much about football but i’m just glad the team my husband was rooting for won.
we invited some friends over from our ward and had lots of good food.
jay made plenty of ribs and steak and it turned out delicious.
there was another stack of ribs but there wasn’t even one rib left in the end, it was a huge hit!

hey! I think you could try lemon juice on your braces, it's got natural substances which help to neutralize colors.I always use it after drinking red wine. Color disappears within seconds:)
I'm sure Superbowl evening turned out great!:))
    have a good day!

When I went to Utah Dorie&Sage made this amazing stake for us and she said that it was Jay's recipe! Although Jay didn't cook it him self I remember it was one of the best! ^ ^
