Slide the City

September 23, 2014~ Etc.

We went to Slide the City, a 1000 ft. slip and slide that you ride in the heart of Salt Lake City.

I try to carry my girls as much as possible before they get too big for me to carry. πŸ™

The lines were pretty long and they ran out of tubes so we had to ask around, and a couple of people got hurt and were carried off on an ambulance.  But if the lines weren’t so long, it would’ve been worth it.  Would I go again?  Probably not, at least not with 5 kids 6 and under!

Slide the City

July 3, 2014~ Etc.

Okay, this is one of the coolest events I’ve seen and I just found out about it yesterday and I have to share it with you!  On July 19th in the heart of Salt Lake City, there will be a 1000 ft. slip and slide that you can ride.  Need I say more?

There will be food trucks, water station, a DJ and live entertainment from 12-7pm on Main street in downtown SLC.  I am so going, you should come too!  I am giving away 4 passes to Slide the City, enter it on the rafflecopter below.
Here is more information:
Slide:
The main attraction is a 16ft x 1,000ft inflatable slide with a giant shallow pool at the end.
Registration:
At the entrance there will be a registration booth where patrons can purchase tickets on the day of the event or present their ticket previously purchased online (www.slidethecity.com).
Vendors:
-first aid station
-food trucks
-water station
-merchandise
-beer garden
Entertainment:
There will be a DJ or another form of live entertainment for the duration of the event.
The slide will close before sunset (estimated time 7:30pm).
Safety:
● Everyone signs a waiver (we can include the city on that waiver as well)
● Under the slide is a foam and/or carpet which makes it safe, secure, and easy on the participants (think of it as a giant slip-and-slide in your yard)
● The water levels on the slide are minimal – there is no risk of choking, drowning, etc.
● There is a monitor at the front and back of the slide making sure that people begin the slide in an orderly manner and that there is sufficient time
between sliders.
● No animals are allowed on the slide.
● We have foam or inflatable helmets, which can be worn by participants as an extra safety option.
● The end of the slide culminates in a large shallow pool (25 ft).

How fun! (Oh, and just a suggestion…you should submit this on Tight Wad in Utah, who posts low entry giveaways..especially since this is in Utah! She posts them daily, and I always get good traffic when I submit my low entry giveaways there: http://www.tightwadinutah.com/p/submit-low-entry-giveaway.html)
