raising girls-a rollercoaster i tell ya!

August 12, 2010~ Etc.

our family trip with my husband’s family was a blast. i’ll post more pics bit by bit. just wanted to tell you how the trip went overall.

there was a lot of crying and fussiness and attitude.

but the next minute, they were all smiles.

then i would tell them no to something and she gives me this face and the finger point while saying, “NO mommy, you NO! don’t say that.” sigh. such a diva. mommy will let u be a diva for a little longer but when you’re older mommy will make sure you don’t have attitude! sweet girls rule and girls with attitude drool! 😉

then they give us these faces that i have no idea what it meant.

but they made each other laugh many times. this is ana tickling adi before bedtime.

and there were many family bonding moments. don’t u love their fobby pajamas?

Adi is saying the cutest things lately as she learns more vocabulary words. not to brag or anything but as a mother I kind of have the right to hehe, but everybody I meet tells me how smart adi is and how well she talks for a 1 1/2 yr. old, 2 yr. old, 2 1/2 yr. old. our pediatrician always tells us she surpasses by far of a regular two year old and mothers ask how old she is and always gets so surprised at how young she is but how well she can talk. I recently became friends with a mom who lives next door to my mom’s house and she has a 7 yr. old, a 4 yr. old and a 2 1/2 yr.old and she thought adi was at least 4 by her language abilities. she told me adi talks better than her 4 yr. old! so enough of bragging, here are some cute things she says.

(as she steps outside into the sun and covering her eyes in the most dramatic way possible) “aww mommy! the sun’s melting me!”

“I wish!”

(as I’m telling her she can’t do something or that she is wrong) “no mommy, you are wrong. you listen to my word!”

“i wanna get older so I can start driving. cuz i have my mickey mouse keys!”

“OH MAN!!!”(from boots in Dora)

“mommy thank you for dinner, it’s really good.”

(praying) “dear heavenly father. we thank thee for this day, i love mommy, daddy and ana, bless mommy for making food….. MOMMY! did you buy me a present???!!!”

“i make poop nugget in the potty! i can go swimming now cuz i made a poop nugget in the potty, YAY!!!”

“mommy i just want to watch t.v for five more minutes. THAT’S IT!”

“(sighs and rolls her eyes) oh my goodness.”

“there once was a princess named adi keilana eunbi tyau! and she had a friend named lion! and they fly high in the sky and they can’t find the ice cream truck, oh no! and they get the map and go up up the mountain and find it! and i eat ice cream!” (she tells us bedtime stories and it changes everyday.)

“mommy! you the bad guy?” (sometimes when adi is being naughty i ask her if she’s the bad guy from the movies)

“oh I can’t eat it until after dinner? can i just hold it? i won’t eat it I promise.” (then she goes and hides and opens it to eat it.)

“mommy made it!” (she says proudly whenever someone compliments mommy when she’s wearing something she’s made.
that’s all i can think of for now. she is just so darn cute!!! sometimes i worry i give her kisses and hugs way too much. but i just can’t help it, my heart feels like it’ll burst whenever i think about how much i love my two girls.

Yeah, your daughter's are too cute! With two sweet and energetic boys I wouldn't even know what to expect with girls. But, yours seem very sweet and fun! We should let our kids play together one day! Our boys don't have any girlfriends! Oh yeah, your knotted shirt was awesome! Your really creative and talented!

Such a cutie =) It's okay to brag a bit! My oldest didn't say a word until almost 2 years and then spoke clearly in full sentences. My second spoke in full sentences by 18 months but at almost 4 she still doesn't speak very clearly! They're all so different. It is such a joy to watch them progress and grow, whatever the pace. It sounds like you are really enjoying her.
