Pumpkin Patch

November 10, 2015~ Etc.

not pictured: we each took turns getting buried in corn. Well, except for our little boy who was way too squirmy to sit still long enough to be buried.

The kids had fun, I was a stress nut-case. Okay, it wasn’t that bad but I was thinking to myself, “Why do I keep subjecting myself to these stressful situations where it’s over-crowded, super busy with long lines and chaos everywhere? WHY???” But then watching them and playing with them, I thought, “I know why I do it! Because of these cute darn kids, look how happy they are!” And it makes losing the keys and frantically searching EVERYWHERE, only to find it inside of the folded stroller cover  seat, or bringing my Nena & Co. bag but the straps were too long and I didn’t realize it until the end, but it dragged on the cement and the ground, thus the whole bottom being scratched, all worth it! It really does.  And as I was editing these pictures, it reconfirms to me that it’s so worth it because look how happy my kids are! Argh, I am so obsessed with my kids!
I asked my oldest daughter to take some pictures for me and look how awesome she is! At first, it was her idea to take pictures and begged me to take pictures, but after about the 5th time, which was a few weeks ago, she grunts and tells me she doesn’t want to do it anymore. So I had this brilliant idea to tell her I’d pay her $1 every time she takes pictures for me, per outfit and now she does it happily and willingly! Yes!!!

The next day, we carved pumpkins and roasted the pumpkin seeds. We didn’t take any pictures to post on the blog or Instagram, so maybe it never even happened. 😉

Your girls is an amazing photographer! She did a really good job balancing you in the frame, and grabbing enough back and foreground. I think you should keep bribing/paying her to take your photos, it will boost her confidence and skills.
