Nu Skin Christmas party with LeAnn Rimes

December 5, 2013~ Etc.

Fuschia dress: Choies c/o | necklace: J.crew | tights: H&M | red boots: Sears
We attended Nu Skin’s Christmas party last night where LeAnn Rimes performed.  I always liked her and her voice sounded amazing live!  And every year, Nu Skin hooks their employees up, and my favorite bonus we got was the $1000 American Express giftcard and Jay’s favorite was the $200 to Nike to design his own pair of shoes.
I was “a little feisty” on the way to the party, so says my husband but I “relaxed and was in a great mood” as soon as we got to the party.  I realized we need to go on dates more often because I feel like I’m a different person when I’m with my kids and when I’m not with my kids.  I feel like I’m way more fun and relaxed when I’m not with the kids, is that bad?  And you know you have a lot of kids when just having one kid basically feels like a date with just you and your husband. πŸ˜‰
p.s: my dear friends Ashley and Chris are hosting a Zuzu’s North Pole Adventure this Saturday where 100% of the proceeds are going to families of kids with disabilities.  You should all come!

I don't think that it's bad that you're more relaxed away from your kids. You're more relaxed because there's not that added sense of awareness and responsibility. It makes complete sense!

I don't think it's bad that you are more relaxed. I think that most people would be too if they were honest.

I definitely feel like a different person when I'm not with my baby. I don't know what it's like to have multiple kids yet, so maybe I need to enjoy just having one for the moment πŸ™‚

By the way I'm new to your blog and I love it! I'm excited to read more.

So glad I'm not the only one and you can relate! And having one is hard too, such a huge transition from going from not being a mother to being a mother. πŸ™‚ and you are so sweet, thank you for reading my blog!
