MY SANITY TIME

November 9, 2017~ Etc.

my kids pretending to drink fairlife milk but in reality it’s empty, ha! I bought the milk just a couple days prior and they had drank most of it by the time I needed to take photos, they love the taste of this milk!

My one hour “sanity time” as I call it that I enjoy every week is while my kids are all in gymnastics at the same time. Do you know how glorious that is? All three kids in one place at the same exact time and only having to drive to one location? It’s glorious, I tell you.

However on down-side to this schedule is their gymnastics is from 5-6 pm which is an awkward time since it’s right around dinner time or the time I start to make dinner. So when we get home, they’re hungry from jumping and running around for an hour and want to eat something but I don’t want them to eat since it’s right before dinner! But they still have to wait 30-60 mins. for me to make dinner. So what’s my perfect solution? Serve them a glass of fairlife ultra-filtered milk, their favorite.

We’ve tried many brands of milk but this one is my kids’ favorite. I feel good serving them this milk because it has 50% more protein, 30% more calcium but 50% less sugar than regular milk. They’re lactose free so even my mom can drink it! There are never any artificial growth hormones in the milk and I know from first-hand experience of visiting their farm that they really care about the earth, the environment and their cows. I was so impressed and it made me love the company even more! And their chocolate milk? SO good.

Comment with your snack idea and I’ll send a $20 PayPal/Venmo to one winner so you can try out the fairlife milk!

Always been curious about fairlife milk!
Snack idea: Cocoa balls made with organic dark cocoa powder, nut butter/coconut oil, maple syrup and shredded coconut – healthy and satisfying.

that milk sounds pretty good! I am lactose intolerant, so I need to try it out. Also, how amazing is it that all 3 kids can sign up for the same activity at the same hour? when i’m in a snacking mood i love cut up veggies with ranch dressing. so yum!

Love checking in on your blog! You need an Instant Pot, dear woman! Time to make dinners even easier and ready to eat the moment you walk in the door. Save that milk then for a bedtime M snack!

Hi string cheese has always been the best for my dtr. She was never diagnosed with low sugar but she gets very moody if she goes for too long without eating. I also keep the little pkgs of trader Joe’s trail mix in my purse for a quick snack. They have asst’d nuts, cranberries and chocolate bits. Neither of these is too filling to interfere with dinner.

I always like the tiny boxes of raisins. They are easy, and not filling. My kids think it’s a treat because they are sweet and candy like. I prefer Newman’s own organic raisins:)

that is such a difficult time! Quick and easy Snacks that I feel good about feeding my kids are :
    Hummus with crackers/carrots/apples
    cheese quesadillas
Homemade trail mix of dried fruit and nuts
    Pretzels and cut fruit

You should look into an Instantpot. I love mine! Drop everything in before their class and it’ll be done and kept warm by the time you’re home. Lots of good recipes online you can try out…

I used to love half Greek yogurt (unflavored) half cream cheese, mix together and dip apple slices in it. You could sprinkle some sweetener if needed but I liked it without.
