My fashionable grandmother in-law and my chemist grandfather in-law

February 3, 2015~ Etc.

our always beautiful grandma Truele
3 generations
We surprised grandma Truele last week in HI and just showed up at her door!  She was so delighted and Aiden went right up to her and leaned in and rested his head on her shoulder for a few minutes and just cuddled with her which made grandma so happy.  He is such a cuddle bear, one of the many things I absolutely adore about him.
We had a nice visit and I found out some things about my grandmother in-law & father in-law that I didn’t know before.  I love learning about the history about my family and Jay’s side of the family, history is so fascinating!
Look at how fashionable and absolutely beautiful our grandma is!

I want all her outfits, I can’t get over how fashionable she is.  Her style is impeccable.
I also read the newspaper article about my grandpa being severely injured and having to get his arm amputated during the war.  The first picture is of his personal account and the second picture is the article about him.

I’ve never had the privilege of meeting my grandfather in-law but from seeing how much his family and grandchildren miss him and speak adoringly of him, I know he was a great man and a great father and great grandfather.  Jay tells me how when he lived right next to them as a little boy, he would go over every day after school and he would play chess with his grandpa.  His grandpa never rushed him or told him he was too busy, he always had time for him and took the time to play chess and make him feel important and loved.
I married into a wonderful and beautiful family when I married Jay and I feel so honored to be a part of his great family now.

Your grandpa's story is so crazy! And what a strong man to not have cried. Also, that grandma is so fashionable.
