Our Memorial Day weekend

May 28, 2013~ Etc.

we watched Epic, went to the new splash pad in provo, Jay made french toast for breakfast,
we went to a birthday party of their friend’s
went to Molly’s in Provo for their delicious briskets!
my little helpers
grandpa playing with the girls
Jay assembling our new kiddie pool
Jay made this bird feeder with disposable wooden chopsticks and an empty container.
Jay also made this fire pit for our Memorial day barbecue
Achilles prefers to show off his best asset in pictures if you can’t tell.  can’t blame him.
Achilles with his new buddy
Adi was the only one brave enough to try out the newly filled pool- it was freezing!
I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend!  We talked with our girls about why we put up the American flag on this day and remember the brave, selfless men and women who died serving our country.  They asked many questions such as how they died, why they died, where their bodies were now, and then one of my daughters asked if we could dig up their bodies from the ground so we could tell them thank you. πŸ™‚

I LOVE your blue and white dress.
We celebrate the same thing in November…such a good thing for us to honour the men who have served our countries!
