i seem to attract little kids wherever i go

March 30, 2011~ Etc.

i make friends easily with little kids.  we took the kids to a playground at the mall one day and i was leaning on a fake tree talking to jay when this little girl of 5 yrs. old came behind me and started playing peek-a-boo with me using the tree trunk.  i just laughed and played along but she kept.doing.it.  then started following me everywhere.  then i went to go get a drink and jay told me while i was gone, the little girl went to her parents and said excitedly, “mommy, daddy! i made a new friend!!!”  the parents told her, “oh cool, who is she?” and the little girl said, “I don’t know her name but she’s the same age as me!”
jay thought it was the funniest thing and took many pictures of us and even a video of me asking her how old she thought i was(which was “um…five!”) but we no longer have those on his phone anymore.
a few days ago we went to the kangaroo zoo and this little boy started following us.  i thought he was following my daughters but i quickly realized he was following me.  we would climb the ladder to go down the slide and as soon as we got up and sat down to slide down, he would quickly plop right onto my lap to go down with me.  every single time.  haha it was pretty funny.  he didn’t leave our side the whole time(1 1/2 hours) and he was a little sad when we left before he did.
ana saying, “who is this random kid posing for my picture with my mommy?”
right before the picture was taken, he was hugging my neck from behind.
and these pictures show jay’s incredible photo skills.
haha joking honey, you know i love you.

I get the same thing wherever I go! I think it's funny since I never thought of myself as a kid person until I had kids, now they always seem to flock towards me. But I was raised in Southern California where allegations and paranoid parents are a little too uncomfortable with their kids just playing with me like what happened to you and they let me know. Although at church since I teach Primary most of the kids recognize me and they all say hi to me as I pass their school even though I don't know their names! I think it's cute that those kids were playing with you and even cuter that you played back!

Sarah, you're just gonna be the cool mom when your kids are older. All the kids will hang out at your house. or you'll be the hot mom that the boys in your girl's high school will come over to see. 🙂 hahaha jk

I’m the same as you I think , when I was 11 yrs old , my friend pointed out that I was good with kids , but I don’t believed her .But as I grew older , yes, I noticed that babies love to stare at me , and kids are fond of me , even though I don’t do anything. I’m 18 yrs old now and just today as well , I went to a stranger’s house with my dad , and there were 3 little boys of around age 5, you know what , even though it’s the first time we met, they were sooo fond of me and keep playing with me , but I love it.Its fun!
