I love my sis

January 9, 2009~ Etc.

My sister, David and their little girl Ellis came down for a few days from California during the new years weekend. I love my sister to death and it’s always so nice seeing her, I only wish we lived closer to each other. πŸ™
Adalie was born 6 days earlier than Ellis and we thought since they’re older they would have a blast playing with each other and Adalie being her usual outgoing self tried to play with Ellis and always followed her around and would talk to her but Ellis is more independent and doesn’t like other babies. But Adalie kept trying and would walk up to her and tilt her head sideways and smile at Ellis but that soon stopped after Ellis pulled on Adalie’s hair super hard. Adalie just stood there frozen and didn’t know what to do and when Ellis finally let go of her hair, she looked at my sister and puffed up her lips and started crying. I guess there is a first time for everything huh? After that, Adalie stopped trying to play with her. πŸ˜€ Maybe next time Adalie.

We were so happy we got to celebrate David’s birthday together!
With cutie Ellis. On New Year’s Eve, we had my sister’s family, Joseph and Sora over for dinner and then watched a movie together and when it was about a minute before the countdown to new years, Jay stopped the movie and tried to turn on the t.v but it didn’t work for a few mins. So we missed the countdown haha. When you’re married with kids, it just isn’t that big of a deal anymore. But we toasted to a good health and happiness over some cold duck sparkling cider.
Happy New Year!

So cute-as for your close call with death-scary! I went tubing while pregnant with Carlos… but all was safe. I may re-think doing it again this year after hearing your story.
PS: Jay, what brand t-shirt is that? Local Motion? It’s way cool…
