I heart Sunflower Farmers Market

November 11, 2008~ Etc.

Jay tells me this is a stupid thing to blog about but I don’t care what he says and I do what I want. πŸ˜‰

Can I just tell you how much I love this market? The store is located on 1375 S. State St. Orem which opened up not too long ago and I make sure I come here weekly when I do my grocery shopping. They buy fresh fruits and vegetables locally and in a large quantity so the prices are A LOT cheaper. Today I went and bought grapefruits at 8 for $1 and avocados at 2 for $1. How cool is that? I make sure to only buy vegetables and fruit however because the other stuff are more on the upscale price. But they’ve got everything a grocery store offers, they even sell fresh sushi(which was delicious) and honey you can fill up yourself in those cute teddy bear containers. This store makes me so happy, I always walk out a happy woman with a big grin on my face. Yes I’m a dork, so what? πŸ˜€ If you want to check out their weekly ads, you can click here. If I was a mother, I would want to know about a cheap grocery store like this, aren’t you so happy I did? Yeah eat that Jay!

I liked that store too, and was really excited for it because we buy a lot of organic stuff and I was hoping it would be bargain as well, but they don’t have all the things I need from my grocery store, and kory complained about the texture of the sugar snap peas, so I didn’t go back. But 8 grapefruits for a buck?! I may have to stop by there today.

We have a Sunflower here too and we also have one called Sprouts that is like it. I love getting their weekly ad in the mail and figuring out what my produce will be for the week. It is so refreshing to have such good prices for a change!

I’m a Wednesday double ad shopper. When I heard they were coming to Midvale last summer I emailed them pleading to come to Orem. They said they were already looking at spots…needless to say I was one of their first 200 customers on opening day. We needed another health store around here.
