How Old Are You? part 2

April 9, 2010~ Etc.

Thanks to those that shared their own stories of the “How old are you?” post on Facebook/Blog. They sure made me laugh and I’m so glad you guys can relate! I remembered so many more when I was reading your stories but there’s two that sticks out I want to share with you because it’s really embarrassing.

I was 20 yrs. old when I volunteered at a Intermediate School to help translate for the Korean students in one class. The class was about to start and I sat down and one girl walked in the classroom and sat right in front of me. Then she turned around to look at me and then said in a lowercase Korean(In Korean culture you always speak “uppercase”, more polite form of language to people who are even a yr. older than you), “Hi! Welcome to our school, you must be new! Can I see your schedule to see if we have any of the other classes together?” Umm, excuse me, I’m almost a decade older than you, speak uppercase to your unni(older sister)! ;D

Last story. Jay and I went on a Carnival Cruise to Mexico on our honeymoon. We went kayaking and the guy who was giving us the tour was handing out life vests for all the people. Jay went up to him first and the guy handed him a life vest and then I went to him next and he looked at me and guess what life vest he handed me!

A SPIDER-MAN little kid life vest!!!

What the heck, ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? So I looked at the life vest pile to see if he was out of all the adult size ones and nope!  He had plenty of them.  Jay thought it was the funniest thing ever and kindly reminded me of the story throughout the whole trip. NOT COOL! Both the tour guide and you Jay! tsk tsk.

haha that´s so funny! but you know what, maybe the life vest thing happened only because you´re a small size… if you way too little for a bigger vest? 🙂

This is my first time visiting your blog. It is so cute. I love your clothing. The Anthro knockoff sweater is so cute!!!

I have had the same thing happen to me. I was married and had my daughter~we went out to breakfast with my family and the waitress gave me a children's menu. Not funny!
