a year ago on april 1st, 2010, I started posting my DIY projects on my blog.
my very first DIY i’ve tried is found here.

and never did i think i would make so many wonderful blog friends
and that you would care to see any of my projects or my little blog!

your sweet comments and encouraging words often make me think,
 “i really think people think i’m a better seamstress than i really am.
 only if they saw my projects in person and saw all the flaws…”
but it’s your support that makes me keep sewing
and i appreciate all of you so much.  so thank you.
and to express how much i appreciate you, i want to do a giveaway
where one winner will send me one outdated clothing item from her closet
(i mean unless a dude entered and won the giveaway? then i’d love to
add ruffles, lace or pretty embellishments to your outdated clothing, haha)
and we’ll work together to transform it into something new.
if you don’t have an outdated item you could send, don’t worry,
we’ll work on something anyway!

    I just wrote you this big long comment, and somehow it didn't publish! UGGG
    Anyhow the jist of it was that I just discovered your blog, and I'm so inspired that my sewing room floor is now in shambles. There are clothes everywhere! I am so excited to get working on some make-overs. You may not think that you have any special talents…FYI it's not as easy as it looks, and I may end up screwing up half of my closet, but half of it I don't wear anyway so I figured What the heck! You have to realize what a talent you have, and keep going. I'm so excited to see what you do next.
    I would love to be in your giveaway! There are many things I'm at a loss on how to modify.
    Also I loved conference too. Wasn't it wonderful? I did have a hard time paying attention sometimes as I was thinking about my clothes and what to do with them. πŸ™‚
    I am so glad you are LDS too, and are finding great ways to modistify (love that word) dresses. I made a dress last year and since it was a tank dress, and I am a "By the Book" girl, I didn't even think to add cap sleeves. I will be doing that now, thanks to you.
