Fiesta Baby Shower

I went to the cutest baby shower for my friend Whitney. It was a Fiesta theme and they had amazing food and such cute decorations!

I LOVE this idea for a baby shower gift, don’t you? To line up all the baby items on a string? 

I do this with my pregnant girlfriends and it’s so funny to see their reactions. I go behind them and put my arms around their cute belly from behind and make a heart-shape with my fingers. It’s become my signature pose with my pregnant girlfriends.

I told my friend Michelle that I would photoshop our pictures to make it look like the picture was taken together with our arms around each other, but let’s be honest. I have no idea how to do that with photoshop. Sorry for an empty promise, michelle! And yes, I am such a dork! Snort!

I have so many pregnant girlfriends and it’s such an exciting time! My mom always tells me that the best time of your life is while you are in your child-bearing years, still young and while the kids cling to you and love you so much. It’s hard to think that these are the best years of my life while I feel like I’m drowning in my kids’ incessant demands and whines but I know I will look back and wished I wasn’t so up-tight and so hard on myself as a mother. So it’s a reminder to me that I need to enjoy each moment and enjoy my children who always want to be right next to me at all times and smother me with attention and love.
