“Who wants to help me crack an egg?”

July 17, 2014~ Etc.

The girls love cracking eggs and love helping me cook.  And this is what they do when I say, “Who wants to help me crack an egg?”  They loudly chant, “Me, me!” and come and grab my arm.  I pound the egg on a hard surface and when I’m ready to crack it open, the girls squeeze my arm which of course causes my fingers to squeeze and crack it open, just like the movie Ratatouille. πŸ˜‰
And then they help me with the taste testing by cleaning off the whisks and the bowl.  They always lick it off pretty clean, unlike their dinners!  I mean, look at those tiny finger marks!

Sunday best

July 15, 2014~ Etc.

“Daddy dressed me today!”
His outfit: suit | moccasins: freshly picked
Her outfit: dress: dorothy perkins | shoes: zara

Jay dressed him for church and I think he did a great job!  He tried to find an outfit that matched perfectly with the church carpet, can you tell?  And I took a selfie through the mirror.  Yes, the worst of the worst kind of selfie.  I don’t consider myself a fashion blogger and it’s obvious by my professional photos(i-phone ya’ll), my awesome poses and how I crop my face out of the picture.  I think I just committed  the 3 sins in fashion blogging.  But this is the best I can do because I don’t got time to stage photoshoots!  I am barely hanging on trying to balance my life with 3 kids.  I hope that’s okay with you. πŸ™‚

Aaron & Liz’s Wedding

July 14, 2014~ Etc.

We went to the most beautiful wedding of our dear friends Aaron & Liz.  They had the wedding at a remote area in Deer Valley and every detail was stunning!

my friend Nat squeezed my cheek as we were taking this picture
so I squeezed her cheek on the next picture.  really tight.  it was only fair, hence her huge smile.  I think she liked it a little too much.
It was a fourth of July theme since the wedding was the day before the fourth of July.
Liz the bride looked so beautiful.  Congratulations Aaron & Liz, we wish you an eternal happiness!

We love Buttman

July 11, 2014~ Etc.

We’ve been playing Buttman a lot around here.  Our BFF Kea visited us for a little over a week and while she was here, it was a party everyday!  We spent many of the nights at our house with friends and my bomb chocolate chip cookies and bonded over playing Buttman.  Buttman is such a fun game.  We even taught our girls how to play Buttman.  I love saying Buttman.  Buttman.
And my husband who hardly posts on his Instagram posted FOUR times over the course of 10 days about us playing Buttman.  It was very unlike him, but I guess he likes Buttman a lot.  I bet he loves saying Buttman even more than I do.
(I zoomed in these pictures so you can see my good looking friends. πŸ™‚

I texted him several days ago that said, “No more buttman for me tonight.  I’m too tired.”  Jay laughed so hard at my text because if someone else had read it, who knows what they would’ve thought my text meant! πŸ˜€  Anyone else Buttman lovers around here?

The fourth of July

July 10, 2014~ Etc.

On the fourth of July we went to Heber City to attend a birthday bash for our friend Aaron.  Aaron married Liz, my friend from college just the day before!
we took about 30 pictures and these two were the best ones, if you could even call it that.  I refused to bribe them to get decent pictures and maybe I should have!
then…… the camera battery died.  ARGH!  So here’s some pictures I took from my phone.
all the guests received Teva water shoes.  Aaron and Jay won’t admit it but I think Jay and Aaron called each other the night before to coordinate their socks so they could be matchy matchy.  So tender….
Then we came home to do some fireworks!  Jay loves fireworks and would have bought 3x more if I had let him.
pooping dog!  look at the dog’s face! hahaha
poor achilles hid from the fireworks.  he was shaking uncontrollably, poor guy!
This is how I watched the fireworks.
I hope you had a wonderful fourth of July!  I love my country and am so grateful for our freedom.
