We went to our cousin’s baby blessing on Sunday and had no time to take pictures so our iPhone had to do, which I think my husband was pretty happy about.  My husband dressed our son and they were matchy matchy on purpose, and my daughter refused to tuck in her sweater underneath her skirt and  was adamant she picked the shoes to go along with her outfit.  She is slowly trying to gain control of her Sunday outfits and I don’t like it one bit!  I might have to go back to bribing her to take her to the dollar store. 😉
On another news, it is December 1st and my husband woke me up this morning with a kiss… without his molestache,  Hooray, Hallelujah!  He no longer looks creepy!

Thanksgiving

Every Thanksgiving day, I make sure I wear bottoms that have an elastic waistband  for maximum comfort and to hide a stuffed belly(remember when Joey from Friend’s wore maternity pants for his Thanksgiving feast?  Genius I tell ya!).  And apparently, the rest of my family got the memo because they all wore comfortable clothes.  We got some sweatshirts and hoodies c/o of Hanes and I like how I can keep warm without being bulky and they offer it in all sizes for the whole family.  Not to mention great prices, my white sweatshirt is only $12, and my girls’ hoodies are $11!  I am also a fan of tag-free clothes that are not itchy behind your neck.  Find all options at Hanes.com.
And since it’s Movember(I hate Movember), Jay has been growing his nasty mustache, which I call it molestache and I tell him he looks “Creepy, pedophile, and nasty” on a regular basis, hoping he’d shave it off, but he likes to make it worse by living up to his nickname and making creepy faces like above.  We would go to a bounce house or McDonald’s and he would just stare at all the kids with that face and his molestache.  The poor parents who are probably watching their kids like a hawk while sweating out of nervousness!  Anyway, I am so grateful that tomorrow is December and he’ll be shaving it off because he’s been making this creepy face all month long.
And for the past few years, we call up everyone we could think of who don’t have family here and invite them over to join our Thanksgiving, so this year we fed 16 people & had 3 complete strangers over(my brother in-law’s friend(I guess I met him for a few mins. once) and his fiancée & their friend).  I’m grateful for a husband who loves to cook a Thanksgiving meal & cooks most of the food, and cooks the most delicious, moist turkey!  I’m grateful for these cinnamon rolls that I slaved over which turned out delicious.  Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving!  Below is a recipe I use every year for green bean casserole dish that is a hit every time.  Everything is made from scratch, from the cream of mushroom, the onion rings, and with fresh string beans, you’ll never go back to the canned green bean casserole.

Adi’s bento lunch box

I usually make my daughter home lunches an average of 3 times a week.  My daughter and I look at the school lunch calendar the day before or the morning of and decide if she wants to eat a school lunch or a home lunch.  When I say we, I mean mostly me, I do most of the decision making but I let her chime in sometimes.  The days when they offer chocolate chip cookies or m&m cookies which is once a week, she always chooses a school lunch over home lunch. 🙂

I got this cute skirt from Spark this past Saturday when Trolley Square invited me and some other bloggers over for dinner at The Spaghetti Factory and for some shopping.  I’ve never been to Trolley Square before but I plan on going back with my husband after Thanksgiving.  I loved that they weren’t crowded and the building has so much history, the building used to serve as a trolley car system for over 130+ years from 1908 to 1945.  They’re the only mall to have Pottery Barn Kids in UT, and other unique shops that no other malls offer such as Spark & Cosset Bath & Body, two shops where I spent most of my money at.  I got some really cute clothes other than this adorable skirt that I’ll have to show you later on!
