Blogging is only a stepping stone to my goal

April 12, 2015~ Etc.

Two students majoring in Photography at BYU came to interview me recently. They asked me what my biggest goal was and I told them how blogging is a stepping stone to my clothing line(hence modeling & sponsored posts so I can save up money), which is a stepping stone to building orphanages and schools in third world countries.

I couldn’t stop crying so we had to cut and take a break(so embarrassing!) when talking about the babies in orphanages and how they don’t make any sound all day because they quickly learn early on that no matter how much they cry or whimper, no one comes to change their soiled diapers(diaper rash is so painful), or feed them or love them. It makes me cry every time I talk about it.

I want to set up an orphanage where along with me, I’ll hire numerous long term employees and our job is to just love the babies and the children. to hold them, to kiss them, to sing to them and tell them stories. to have each child have a mother/father like figure. I will love each and every one of those children.

My biggest goal is to help children and I am so passionate about it my heart starts pounding when I think about it! Thank you for interviewing me! Maybe I will even post the video of my interview when I receive the footage. 🙂

True Confidence

March 30, 2015~ Etc.

I’ve always said arrogant and cocky people are the most insecure people. When we rely solely upon our own capabilities and abilities, our powers are limited and we can only achieve so far. But when we rely upon God whose capabilities are limitless, we too become limitless in power if we have him by our side, on the same team. Therefore, humility is the true sign of confidence. Knowing you’re not better than anyone, knowing you’re not too good for anything. Because in the end, we are all the same, we are nothing without God. But with God, I can be anything and I can do everything.

My morning ritual with my son

March 25, 2015~ Etc.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, it’s time to bust out my Taga bike and start exercising!  I went on a bike ride with my son last week and I’m embarrassed to admit, it was my first exercise of the year.  Or more like the past 7 months?  The last time I exercised was when I went on a Taga bike ride with my son in August last year.  I received this bike in exchange for a review and while I have no obligation to post again and am not getting paid to write this, I just wanted to express how much I love this bike!  It’s pretty much the only thing that motivates me to exercise.  I’m not a gym person, I need to be active while doing something I enjoy such as hiking, biking, rollerblading, jumping on the trampoline and etc. and all the things I just listed is hard to do with a 1 year old but the Taga bike is perfect since I can just buckle him in and go ride!  I don’t need to attach a bike trailer or trying to balance a bike from falling while buckling him in a bike seat, one less step for this frazzled, overwhelmed mama.  You may be wondering, but your son is almost 2 now?  Don’t you got the hang of 3 kids by now?  Surely you must.  Well, honest truth, I feel like I am just getting the hang of it.  As in like a month ago.  It’s finally getting a tiny bit easier.  Like there’s opposition in all things though, as much as I’ve been overwhelmed and cried sometimes because it was just too hard, I’ve felt way more joy and happiness than when I had 2 kids.  My happiness seems to burst out of my chest and my heart starts beating faster when I think about how grateful I am to be a mother to my 3 insanely sweet , happy kids.  They make me lose my patience many times but they’re mostly wonderful and very sweet, caring and thoughtful kids.
Today I took my daughter to a church activity where I am a leader to 16-17 year old girls.  We made cookies and delivered them and afterwards when we were driving home, my daughter said to me, “Mommy, when we go home can we eat ice-cream and sit down and talk together?”  My heart melted and I said to her, “Can you please always ask me to sit down and talk together even when you’re a teenager?” I really need to start having her sign these contracts, now that I think about it!
