Just yesterday my husband told me when he walked into the house after work, “Um, you’ve been wearing that jumpsuit for 3 days straight. Maybe it’s time to shower, hun.” I didn’t think I looked THAT bad, for not showering for 3 days, literally wearing the jumpsuit for 3 days, wearing it in the day and as pajamas, brushing my hair with only my fingers before going out, and I was wearing a little bit of makeup even! But then I looked down at myself and noticed I didn’t even bother to lift up my sleeveless jumpsuit back up to my shoulders after using the restroom, it was just hanging around on my waist. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath so at least I wasn’t flashing anyone! Give me some credit here!
LOVE DAY
Jay was in Hawaii for 5 days for his friend’s wedding, which happened to be right during Valentine’s, President’s Day & the 3-day weekend. Yes, the worst week ever to be away! Let’s just say I was the worst single mother and have never yelled, sighed, grunted or complained so much in my entire motherhood.
MY LITTLE PRINCESS
This little cutie is turning 7 next week! AHHH!!! This is tearing my heart inside. I remember with my first two children, every birthday was bitter sweet but deep inside a part of me couldn’t wait for them to get older and become more self-reliant so I could relax a little but by my third child, I realized I wanted them to rely on me for everything and for time to slow down as much as possible! I would do anything to go back to this stage where my girl had tiny bit of hair and I could barely put it in a ponytail. My sweet little baby.
MY DREAM PLAYDATE + GIVEAWAY
Since I live vicariously through my children, we had an American Girl play date where the girls’ friends brought their own American Girl dolls and played with the new Lea’s fruit stand, then finished with a tea party after! This is my dream play date! I wish I was invited to a play date like this when I was little. Our kids have such good lives, don’t they?
MY BOY’S HALF BIRTHDAY
Since half birthdays are a huge milestone and a big deal for my kids(“No, mom! I am six and a HALF!” every time I tell people my daughter’s six), we celebrate half birthdays by going to the dollar store where they can each pick out two items and then we go get a little treat. Our son recently saw a cupcake eraser at his sisters’ book fair and thought the frosting was ice-cream so he’s been asking for a few days for an ice-cream cupcake. So we went to Coldstone for their ice-cream cupcakes.
