Goin’ private and I’m gettin’ HUGE!!!

November 30, 2008~ Etc.

6 months. I think I was this big when I was 7 1/2 months with Adalie. It is true what they say: your first one takes longer to show but after that, you’ll get bigger faster. Which makes sense since the elasticity of my skin has been stretched afar once before already. When my mom was pregnant with me, her 5th child, everyone thought she was having twins.
So we have decided to go private after we read an article on KSL about blog stalkers. Not to brag but we get on a average day 50-60 visitors which is a lot especially since it doesn’t count returning visitors within one day and knowing we have a lot of people visiting our blog makes me happy and makes me want to update my blog more. And we get visitors from all over the world like this week we got hits from Korea, Australia, Russia, Columbia, Taiwan, Spain, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Europe but maybe that’s not a very good thing for the privacy of our family.

So if you want an invite to our blog, you have to request an invitation by writing your email address on the comments below or email me at sarahtyau(@)gmail.com. We might reject you but hey there’s nothing to lose by just trying right? ;D I’m just joking, even if you know us by association through our friends or what not, we would love to have you. Please request an invitation by December 10th.

Oh Christmas tree oh christmass tree

November 29, 2008~ Etc.

I’ve been in a blogging mode lately if you couldn’t tell. πŸ˜‰ I was thinking how my kids and I will read this when they’re older and it’ll bring back memories for me and build memories that they no longer remember. It’s our family journal. ^ ^ I started blogging because everyone told me once you have a baby, it’s time to start a blog and they also told me you can’t say you’re a good mother until you get one. Well, thanks to blogspot.com, I can say I’m a good mommy now.

Okay off on my tangent there, moving on. We went shopping today of course since it was black friday and I’m proud to say I didn’t get anything for myself. Yeah, I’m pretty shocked myself. Maybe I’m maturing after all with this whole motherhood thing. But we bought a camera since I lost ours and maybe I felt a little guilty for that. Jay even let me choose the color of the model when he very well knew I would choose pink. πŸ˜€ We also bought a walker/car for Adalie which she is wobbly and clumsy at for now which is so adorable to watch. But most important of all, we got our christmas tree! Whoop whoop! I LOOOOOVE christmas trees and I’ve been dying to get one because it just makes a home. I get so happy and content when I stare at a christmas tree, there’s just something about it that is so cozy and homey. Jay and I decorated the tree together and Adalie helped too by taking down all the ornaments that she could reach. So if you look at our tree right now, there are no ornaments on the bottom 2 ft. of the tree. We got a real tree this year and the scent of fresh pine is permeating the air as I type. Oh and did I tell you we’re going to Hawai’i in 18 days? WHOOP WHOOP!!! πŸ˜€ I’m so happy that Jay is from somewhere cool like Hawai’i. Poor Jay, I’m just from good ole P-town. I definitely got a better end of the deal, I mean would you rather visit HI and go to the beach on Christmas day or greet the cold freezing weather and the scary icy driving here in Provo? You take your pick. ^ ^ BUT I do gotta say my parents are living in Korea right now and will be for the next 2 yrs. so Jay, you’re not getting too gypped off either. ;D

Before with just the lights. And cute Adi in the background.

Ta-dah!!

Giving thanks

November 28, 2008~ Etc.

Today was wonderful. We went to our great aunt and uncle Mayfield’s for some feast at 10:30 am and man we ate so much. They had us over last year too and uncle Mayfield extended out an invitation to us for the next 10 yrs. to come. They’re such sweet folks.

Then we came back home, I took a nice long nap with Adalie and by the time we woke up and I got ready, it was time to go to my aunt and uncle’s house. I was going to make some pecan bars to take but the next door neighbor whom we teach their daughter in the Primary brought us a pumpkin pie so we took that to dinner instead. So there was absolutely no cooking for me today! Woo hoo!:D

We went to my aunt and uncle’s and ate a Korean style thanksgiving dinner which consists of kimchi and rice among the traditional foods. πŸ˜‰ My favorite was the fried sweet potato. If you’ve never had a real sweet potato(and I’m not taking about yams), then you’re definitely missing out! While we were eating dinner, Adalie was intently watching Coco the dog and pointing at him and loving it until Coco came right below her and barked at her. I’ve never seen her or let alone a human being jump so much and Adalie proceeded to bawl. She had no idea some furry little animal that she was so intrigued in could make a noise, especially a loud ear ringing bark. Poor little Adi. ^ ^ Then we played a Korean board game called yutnori which Jay played for the first time ever in his life and he did so well he basically lead his team to victory.

On our way home we stopped at this house in Orem whose house has the coolest lights ever. It is by far the best Christmas lights-decorated house I’ve ever seen. The house is like a mile long with numerous trees and every single tree is lighted with a different color than the next so it just looks like a giant field of rainbows. Adalie couldn’t stop pointing and screaming at the excitement. We’re definitely going back.

And right now I’m sittin’ on the couch looking at ads online for black friday and blogging while Jay is lying right next to me snoring very loudly. He played turkey bowl this morning and man he is knocked out!

I am so grateful for my life. I think I have the best life ever. I am so thankful for a wonderful family I was raised in, for the knowledge that I have and for my little family Jay and I have created. But most of all, I’m forever grateful to my heavenly father who is constantly watching over me with the utmost tender, care and concern for my happiness. He is so sweet it melts my heart every time I think about his sweetness and goodness. Oh how I love him!

Late update of Jay’s b-day celebration

November 25, 2008~ Etc.

So I said I would post pictures of Jay’s birthday bonanza when we went on our date but I got no pictures of that because I lost my camera. πŸ™ Thank goodness it wasn’t our Canon one, but still I’m bummed since our Canon one is so big, we don’t like to carry it around everywhere we go. Plus, I can’t take videos of cute Adi. I lost my cell phone about 1 1/2 months ago and Jay surprised me one day with a cute new red phone and then about a week later, I lost our camera! I’ve been so forgetful lately (ok even more than I usually am :P) and poor poor Jay. I’m sorry honey. He hasn’t even gotten mad at me over it at all because he says if I don’t find the camera, I just can’t shop until 2010. Oh geez…but am I the only prego lady that gets like this?

And can I just warn you prego mothers out there and give you one advice? DO NOT watch Korean dramas when you’re prego. They’ll make you a tear jerker in the first place anyway but when you add your crazy pregnancy hormones altogether, it’s a DISASTER. I bawl my eyes out every 2 mins. throughout the drama as if someone in my own family has died. I’ve been waking up every morning the past couple of days with the puffiest eyes ever. So you have been warned.

Bath time!

November 25, 2008~ Etc.

Adalie is the light of my life.

It saddens me to think she’ll soon be too big to fit in the sink. πŸ™ good thing I’m having another baby in 3 months eh? ^ ^
