mmm

March 2, 2011~ Etc.

we went to DP cheesesteaks for dinner.
it was my first time trying a cheesesteaks sandwich, can you believe it?
(besides trying the frozen one from costco which doesn’t really count- which is really good too bytheway)
and it was delicious! all four of us loved it and we’re definitely going back soon.

picnic at a park

February 24, 2011~ Etc.

ADI
me: “look what I can do adi!” (started to flick my rubberbands of my braces causing sounds)
adi: (mouth and eyes wide open) “WOW mommy! You have a voilin in your mouth!!! Can I get a musical instrument too when I get older? Please?”

her favorite saying lately. “mommy, you’re the best mommy I never had.”

ANA
me: (as ana and I watched daddy take adi to the bathroom) what is adi doing ana?
ana: “she she?(thats how she pronounces “sister”.) she she pee pee.”
me: “whats dada doing?”
ana: “jay fut fut?” (fart fart? she always calls him by his name and never daddy)

ana says:
“fut fut” = elephant or fart fart. it sounds the same.
“yoook mommy!” = look mommy!
“muh mas?” = i still have NO clue.

we had a little picnic at a park
tonight after we had dinner i went visiting teaching and grocery shopping.  jay put the kids to sleep but ana kept wanting her mommy so he called me twice while i was out so ana could hear my voice and speak to me.  on the phone she just sounded so grown up as she repeated the words after daddy, “mommy, where are you? mommy i miss you, mommy, i love you.”, that i thought she was adi at first.  jay said she kept asking for mommy and waking up and crying for me and it just breaks my heart knowing she went to bed unhappy and fell asleep being sad.  i know it’s maybe silly how much i’m  saddened by it but i always want to be there for my children when they want me.  whenever, wherever, no matter how long or short.  i’m sorry i wasn’t there when you wanted me ana.  mommy will give you lots of love and kisses as soon as you wake up in the morning.

last saturday

February 22, 2011~ Etc.

we went to the discovery museum and then met up with our cousins jasmine and bobby for lunch and visited their home in farmington.
as soon as adalie got the shopping cart, she went to go find a baby to put in the baby seat.
checking out at the cash register
ana wasn’t even looking when i told her to smile for the camera but as soon as i got off the chair she posed just like i was previously.  i forget my children are watching me sometimes but they’re always watching me and copying everything that i do.  it helps me to be a better person so i can be a good example for them to follow.
at jasmine and bobby’s house
guess who’s under the chair cushion! ME!
haha just kidding, it’s adalie.
i love this girl.
i wish every week was a 3 day weekend.

giveaway winner & weekend

February 18, 2011~ Etc.

thank you to all those that entered my headband giveaway.
it meant so much to me that you thought my little ole’ headbands were
cute enough for you to take your precious time to enter the giveaway.
i really wish i could give every one of you my headbands
so i’m offering free shipping on all the headbands this president’s day weekend.
and the random drawing winner is:

congrats julie! i have sent you an email already. 🙂

and these are pictures from a couple weekends ago.
we went to one of our favorite places, Nickelcity.

plinko is my very favorite game.  i won 2 jackpots, both the highest which is 100!!! i think i might look like a little HS girl when i win because i jump and scream everytime.  oh plinko, how you make me happy so.
the popcorn one was adalie’s favorite where you try to catch all the popcorn popping in the bucket.  she played it for about 20 mins. straight.
and ana’s favorite was the little truck.  she stayed in there for about 15 mins. as i kept putting in nickels. either that or she was pooping and she wanted her own private space.  haha sorry tmi.
counting the tickets
woo hoo we’re the richest people in the world!
“mommy, take a picture of my dora purse.”
“mommy, take another one of the back.”
“mommy, put up the picture i takened of you and ana.”
then we went to our friend’s house for some karaoke party baby!
and it might look like jay is abusing our little daughter and throwing her around like a potato sack but only the 2nd part is true.  that’s adalie’s definition of dancing with her daddy.  and she loves it.  no wonder why she has no fear.
the boys(minus my husband-he doesn’t sing-boo) rapped all night long with no shame whatsoever.  it was awesome.
as good of a family picture we’ll get.
hope you have a great 3-day weekend!

while daddy was gone

February 17, 2011~ Etc.

daddy went on a short trip to california to pick up our new vehicle
so we dropped daddy off at the airport last friday
after we spent some time in the city eating and shopping.
then it was a whole day with just me and my two girls!
we went to the aquarium
this fish kept following me and starring at me on an eye level! seriously, if i took a few steps to the right, he would follow me and meet me at my eye level and just stare and same thing if i took a step to the left!  freaked me out a little bit.  okay a lot.  he’s got some serious starring problems!!!
ana wouldn’t cooperate taking pictures at the aquarium.
she’s less than a month away from two and it’s a tough age.
my sweet ana’s been throwing tantrums and screaming and she runs away
from me anywhere we go which is so exhausting chasing her around
especially when i have a 3yr. old i need to keep an eye on!
but i can see how being two can be so frustrating since she can only
speak a few word sentences when she’s old enough to know what she wants
and what she wants to say when she can’t fully communicate with words.
anyway, back from my tangent, i made their favorite food for dinner
had a dance party(we have dance parties everyday. they love to dance!)
okay okay, i love dancing too.
then we had a movie(Tangled) and a popcorn before their bedtime.
then jay came home the next day on a saturday afternoon.  he flew to california on friday, picked up the car, then drove straight back home.  and to make the trip even more exhausting, he got in a car accident in vegas.  the car’s okay, just a small dent in the back, so it could’ve been a lot worse.  i was so worried about the car, i mean we had it for less than 12 hrs. when some car hit us… oh you wonder if my husband was okay? haha i’m so joking, what kind of a wife do you think i am? 🙂 he was okay and wasn’t hurt thank goodness.  i guess what happened was it was a stop and go traffic and for some reason a car that was 4 cars behind jay was going 50 mph and hit a car in front of him which caused the next 3 cars to hit, jay’s being the last.  but jay didn’t know that and driving all night/exhausted, he got out of the car and was pissed and started yelling at the car behind him whom was a little asian guy(i can say that without being racist since i’m asian haha) and the guy kept saying, “please don’t beat me up, please don’t beat me up!” he was so scared jay would beat him up, that poor guy! but jay found out what had happened later and ended up talking to the asian man the whole time while they were doing the police report and such.  the asian guy told him in the end, “man the polynesians have a reputation here in vegas and you definitely met that expectation earlier.”  hahaha i mean, jay, tsk tsk tsk. but the police did have to restrain jay from walking up to the guy that had started the whole accident and said to him, “please stay in your car, sir.”  smart policeman, that’s all i gotta say.
