One Saturday.

November 7, 2012~ Etc.

sweater: old navy | striped sweater skirt: c/o romwe | necklace: h&m | flats: target
hoodie: stole it from my little brother | Dickie Shorts: walmart | NikeFree 5.0: Footlockah
Last Saturday, I went out to lunch with my girlfriends to eat delicious pho’ & boba, and laughed the whole 3 hours.  Then we went and watched Wreck-it Ralph which was surprisingly a very good movie.  I wasn’t that excited to see it but it ended up being one of the best animations I’ve seen.  Then we went to dinner at one of our favorite Chinese restaurants, Chen’s noodle house.  It was a great Saturday!

True & Co. giveaway

November 6, 2012~ Etc.

We have a giveaway for you today from one of my sponsors, True & Co., a personal bra shop.  They were gracious enough to send me 5 pairs of bras and one lucky winner will receive 5 pairs of bras as well, 3 styles of your choice, and 2 selected by the True & Co. Expert, a value worth of $225.  This giveaway is open to the U.S.  The bras I received are of quality, comfort, and an aesthetic appeal, and I love how some are labeled as different sizes but they all fit the same.  It’s like a personal bra shopper without going to the store.
(when i told my mom what i got, she said to me, “oh? so do you have to take pictures of yourself wearing the bras and post it on the blog?”  i said, “of course, that’s why they sent it to me!” and you should’ve seen the look on her face. 😉
To enter the giveaway, please sign-up for an account with True & Co.  You’ll take a 2 minute, 9-question personal quiz to get fitted online.  Then leave a comment below this post telling me that you’ve created an account.  This giveaway will run for one week.

One tough mudder!

November 5, 2012~ Etc.

Jay ran the Tough Mudder, an intense 12 mile obstacle course designed by British Special Forces, known as the “toughest course on the planet”.

photos via Jay’s iPhone, Tough Mudder & Anna Miller Photography
And this video makes me proud.  He didn’t even need any help getting up the ramp!

There’s two courses that even had electrical wires and the shocks were so strong that when you’re hit(and it’s not a matter of “if”, you couldn’t help but get hit a few times), your body automatically slams to the ground.  Intense, right? He said the hardest part was how freezing it was(his race started at 8 a.m with no sun whatsoever). He said the very first course required you to jump in the ice, and almost every other course was jumping in the ice, so you’re constantly cold.  For me, this would be the farthest thing from fun and I would never voluntarily put myself in these situations, but I gotta say these people are pretty amazing.

Halloween party & trick or treat

November 2, 2012~ Etc.

Dress: H&M | Tights: H&M(recent) | Necklace: Romwe
Adi & Ana’s preschool threw a Halloween party with lots of food and crafts, with all the proceeds donated to a wonderful cause.
Ana decided to cut her bangs in a staircase/triangle shape which is very impressive I must say.  I’m just glad she had her school pictures taken the week before.
Jay sat on the bench most of the time at the party and acted as if he was throwing his own kind of haunted house party.  He would sit on the edge of the bench and lean forward and depending on what costume the kids were wearing, he would scare them accordingly.  When a vampire walked by, Jay would show all his teeth and act as if he was going to jump out at the kid to bite his neck any second.  When a warrior princess walked by, he karate chopped high in the air while screaming weird noises to the poor girl.  When a Prince walked by, he would pretend to gallop towards the prince while making hideous horse sounds.  Some kids walked by quickly and made sure to never return to the same vicinity, while some kids kept walking back and forth on purpose because they thought it was weird/funny.  At least he didn’t have a full on molestache, or else they really would’ve gotten scared.
And we finished Halloween with trick or treating.  I hope everyone else got lost of candy too!

Halloween

October 31, 2012~ Etc.

Happy Halloween!
I hope everyone will have a safe Halloween, especially the people in the East Coast who are affected by Sandy.  It breaks my heart to read and watch the news about it.  Two of my brothers live in the East Coast, and I’ve been watching/reading, worrying, and praying continuously for everyone there.  May you have a very safe Halloween.
