What I wore with Petunia Pickle Bottom giveaway

June 25, 2013~ Etc.

dress: h&m | wedges: target | diaper bag: thanks to petunia pickle bottom
photographs by: Jessica Peterson
We have a giveaway for you this week by Petunia Pickle Bottom where one lucky winner will win a City Carryall diaper bag in any glazed fabric of their choice.  It offers 9 of the beautiful design choices pictured below in the glazed fabrics.  I love the design of the City Carryall because of the size the bag and the length of the shoulder strap.   The bag is big enough to fit everything you need but not so big that it’s overwhelming, and the straps are perfect for carrying around the shoulder when you need a free hand.  The City Carryall in glazed fabric comes with a PPB monogrammed plastic wipes case and a removable long strap for an option of messenger-style carry.  This giveaway is open to U.S residents only.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below this post by July 9th 2013.
For extra entries:

    Summer carnival

    June 24, 2013~ Etc.

sweet Ana always tries to listen to baby and talk to him and give him kisses.
    Jay looking happy pre-ride.
    but not so much post-ride.
Jay obviously looking thrilled to ride again.
the picture on the left is after his 2nd ride, then the picture on the right is after his third ride.
We went to a carnival and since I couldn’t ride any of the rides, Jay had to go with the girls on all the rides.  The girls don’t like going to the kiddie rides either, they only wanted to go on the fast, adult rides.  I love rides like this but Jay doesn’t(the carnival rides are so much more shaky and makes you more nauseous than the amusement park rides since they’re smaller and not as sturdy), and he was feeling so sick after each ride.  He still endured for the sake of the girls but by the 3rd ride, he was done.  He couldn’t even drive home, he was feeling so sick!  He said to me, “I think I know how you feel now when you say you feel nauseous and feel like throwing up every second.  Now I can really sympathize with you next time.”
We usually hit all the carnivals in the county over the Summer, but I think it’s safe to say this will be our first and last this Summer.

    Moments of perfection

    June 21, 2013~ Etc.

One night when I checked on the girls before going to bed, not only did I find my two girls sharing a bed together(they share a bedroom but sleep on a separate bed), they fell asleep holding each other’s hands.  It’s moments like this when I forget about all the worries and stresses of life, but for a moment my life seems to be of pure perfection.

What I wore when I was expecting + a giveaway by Miccimo

    June 19, 2013~ Etc.

For this week’s giveaway, one lucky winner will win a $100 giftcard to Miccimo, a maternity apparel store that sells beautiful and classy apparel for expectant mothers.  I wore this top and a skirt to our 6th Anniversary dinner and felt like such a lady!  My husband is very picky about liking what I actually wear, and doesn’t like a lot of my clothes because he says it’s too grandma(which never stops me from wearing what I like, I dress for myself and no one else! 😉 but he liked this outfit which is always a nice bonus, especially for our Anniversary.  The top and bottom is comfortable and stretchy, and I love how they’re separate pieces so if I don’t want to wear it together as a dress, I can pair it with a different top or a bottom.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below this post by June 25th.  This giveaway is open to everyone.
    For extra entries:
-Visit Miccimo and tell me your favorite item from the store.

    Father’s Day

    June 17, 2013~ Etc.

On Father’s Day, we taught our Primary for the last time at church(since I’m going to have a baby soon) so we had a donut party and made Father’s Day cards.  And these are some pictures of the rest of our day.
Jay’s requested breakfast: bacon, eggs & rice
the girls and I made cards for Jay and my dad(and also a little video for Jay)
Jay got a watch from me & the girls
adi played catch with grandpa for a long time
with two fathers I love and respect so much
    love achille’s always curled-up tail!
My mom is out of town and I’m the only child that lives near my dad, so I got to celebrate two fathers all on my own for Father’s Day.  It was fun and exhausting getting two presents, making two separate dinners(both have strong preferences for what they eat or wanted to eat), and making cards for two, but mostly it was  because I was just so tired!  These days it’s hard for me to walk(I don’t even try not to wobble anymore when I walk, I just let it all hang out and wobble as much as I want!) and I seem to be always out of breathe when I’m not even doing anything so I was exhausted by the end of the day.  But I’m very lucky to celebrate for two wonderful fathers I know in my life and living so close to my dad.

I always wanted to marry someone like my dad who not only is very hard working but appreciates and knows how to do hard physical labor, someone who is a handy-man and knows how to fix things, smart, honest, spiritual, loving, forgiving, and patient and luckily, I got all that in my husband.  Jay’s so hard working that he has a problem with just sitting and relaxing, he’s always doing something or fixing something, he is the least lazy person I know, he built 3 houses from ground up with his dad growing up so he knows how to do hard physical labor(and I’m so grateful for his parents who saw the importance in that and taught him), he is very smart and knows all my or the kids’ random questions such as, “I wonder what road work they’re doing over there?”-“well, they’re drilling holes for the sewer pipes because…..they’re using a machine ___, and it’ll take them about 2 weeks to complete it.”, “why is the sky blue?”-“well, the tiny molecules in the air travel….the blue light travels in smaller waves….” while my answer would’ve been, “because Heavenly Father made the sky blue?” haha.  I am so grateful Jay is the father of my children and I’m immensely grateful for all my 3 wonderful fathers in my life, my dad, my husband, and my father-in-law.  They are all amazing men that I admire and respect so much.

I hope every Father had a wonderful Father’s Day!
