bad news and good news

August 1, 2011~ Etc.

so guess what guys…
you know how this month i got in an accident and then less than two weeks later
got a speeding ticket?  well, i got another ticket.  yeah, can you believe it?
(you better not be saying yes! πŸ™‚
this time, i got a parking ticket.
a parking ticket for not reverse parking and parking head on.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
i’ve never heard of such an absurd parking rule, have you?
(even if you have, just tell me no to make me feel better, thanks πŸ˜‰
but i do have two good news.
the first good news is that we’re having a bachelorette finale party tomorrow
and i’m so excited! (sparking cider, candles, blanket & pillows, scrumptous desserts,
oh my, it’s going to be a romantic party with me and my girlfriends from relief society. πŸ˜‰
the second good news is that
dun…dun…dun…
i…..got……my……..braces……..off………!!!
i had taken my smooth, slimy teeth for granted all these years!

Hooray – your smile is even more lovely now! How long did you have them on for? I'm thinking about getting them too.

Congrats with your perfect smile! I need braces too, but I also need teeth extraction to fix my overbite. I was even looking at your old posts trying to find out why have you needed braces, but no luck fiding anything about it πŸ˜€

Yay for your lovely smile! I got mine off 2 years ago, I sort of missed them since I had them on so long.

My husband got so tired of me spending $90 on a lawyer to make my ticket go away (2x a year) that he bought me a $60 radar detector. It's been 3 years, ticket free! My lawyer is sad now.

That's funny. I was just wondering on Friday when you would get them off. Congratulations!

Yay for no braces!! Just be sure to wear your retainers! I stopped after I got married because A. would laugh when I talked with them, big mistake! πŸ™‚ You look beautiful.

@Mel, I had them on for about 19 months. I got speed braces though which in average you get off in a year. Good luck! @egle, I had an overbite and the bottom two teeth were a little crooked but my top teeth were straight so people never noticed. πŸ™‚ @Bon, I should get a radar detector too! Seriously!

And thank you for your sweet comments everyone!

One morning I walked out to my car and couldn't believe my eyes. It looked like a ticket on my windshield. At first I thought it was a joke, but I really did get a parking ticket in my own driveway! I guess my car was "obstructing the sidewalk." I had never heard of such a thing! I always pull my car to the front of the driveway from now on!
